My name is Timothy Hilley — I am an ACE Fitness Certified Personal Trainer. I was born in Detroit, Michigan. I grew up in the Florida Panhandle and I have been all around the Americas. I have never found a greater joy than to help people become more healthy. There are a lot of misconceptions, myths, fad diets, bro-science in the gyms, and straight-up lies that people try to sell to consumers to sell a product that claims will give you the health you want and need. My job is to help you sift through the data and point you in a straight, clear path on how to lead a healthy life. My mission is to spread health, fitness, and performance to those who are willing to try.
I have not always been health-minded. I struggled in high school with weight and later years tried to figure out what most people try to figure out: How can I have a chiseled body? How can I become stronger the fastest? How can I be better? I was not asking: “How can I become the healthiest? How can I gain muscle in a healthy way? Are my hormones in balance? Should I do my research on this diet? Is my form right? Is this the best long-term solution?”
Becoming the person you want to seem like a far trek. People want to take short cuts, they buy into get-thin-quick schemes. If you want to lose a lot of weight quickly and don’t want to exercise.. sadly I am not the personal trainer for you. If you want to exercise and just cannot give up your eating routine, again.. thank you for your time. If you would like to take the time to learn first, plan your eating routine, practice discipline, slowly curb your movement routine, and be a student of fitness: I’d be happy to help. It doesn’t take a cold-turkey diet. It doesn’t take suffering sweat. In my professional opinion, it just takes the willingness to change. One step at a time. Taking the first step into your work year is the biggest choice you’ll make in life.
Health changes you. I can attest. I believe a balanced mind and body change aspects in your life that have nothing to do with eating right or exercise.
