My first experience lifting weights was in high school when I started playing football. I immediately fell in love with it! At the time though, my coaches really only cared about how much you could lift and not lifting safely. Most of what I learned about proper technique was self-taught via the internet. After high school, I went to play college football and learned a lot about how to excel as a student-athlete. However, I ran into similar problems with my new coaches; they too cared more about weight on the bar and not proper technique and I often found myself helping my teammates improve their technique. This always led to decreased joint pain, but also more weight on the bar! After football, I got into powerlifting and have since began teaching people how to properly train in order to both stay healthy and lift as much weight as they can. I would love to help you be the best version of yourself.

The first thing I do with all of my clients is evaluate their proper form on the main lifting movements and create a personalized profile detailing some key ways they can improve. I also note any muscular imbalances and form issues. For each client, I then use this information to write individualized workout plans to help them improve their technique and reach their goals.
