My name is Jacob and I started training for myself after I fell into a deep depression and was experiencing daily anxiety. I turned to fitness because it was the one thing I felt I could control. I could control the dumbbells in my hands, my effort on the stair climber, and the level of exhaustion I felt afterward. After becoming a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, I decided I wanted to help people live a healthier lifestyle by introducing them to a plant-based diet while changing old habits and progressing new ones.
I started off with a few friend-turned-clients training one-on-one in my apartment complex "gym". While I do thoroughly enjoy the personal connection that can be made face-to-face in the gym, I wanted to create a larger impact by broadening my reach with other people around the world, and that's when I expanded to online coaching as well.
I spend my time teaching group fitness classes like HIIT Step, Cardio+Strength, and Indoor Cycling. Since focusing on virtual training, I'm able to find that personal connection with more individuals, continue teaching classes, and reach new heights.
I don't expect perfection (at all!), but I do celebrate your daily effort and progress.
If you are looking for a quick fix or to follow old habits, I might not be the best coach for you.
