About Kaymi

Hi, I’m Kaymi (pronounced KAY-mee)! For most of my life, I was inactive and getting by with “good genes” through my 20s.

As I approached my 30s, I knew I had to get ahead of the effects that come with aging, like my metabolism slowing down, so I decided to try my chances with HIIT-based exercises and saw my body transform in a way I never thought possible.

Although I was reaping the benefits of exercise, I allowed fitness to lead me. I never bothered or cared to dig deep into how and why my body was changing, but hey why question it when it’s working, right?

As I gracefully entered my late 30s, my body had other plans for me—I wasn’t performing like I used to.

I had to refocus my efforts in exercise and I started experimenting with plant-based food.

After 15+ years in public relations, eight years of my own personal fitness journey, plus coaxing from family, friends and old colleagues who always pointed out how the fitness industry could use my personality and passion for the business, I found my second act as a certified personal trainer through NASM with more certifications and specializations to come via NASM’s elite trainer program.

While my journey may not reflect yours, we all share something in common and that’s our bodies. No matter the age, our bodies need constant love, nurturing and commitment.
