My favorite client story

A client of mine first came to me three years ago after she had been in a car accident, injuring her shoulder to the extent that she had to retire early from her massage business. Her husband, a farmer, was also diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, which progressively decreases muscle and balance. They were anticipating he would be in a wheel chair soon due to the increased rate of muscle and balance decrease he was experiencing. She wanted to increase her strength so she could be prepared to take care of him and their home while working around her shoulder limitations. Since she has started, she has surpassed all of her strength goals, can do more than she ever thought she could, has total body muscle tone, receives complements about her form, ability, and toned muscles when she goes to the gym, can easily keep up with her grandchildren, you wouldn't be able to tell she ever had a shoulder injury anymore, and she can even do pull-ups! Her husband became motivated to begin training two years ago after seeing all of the rewarding benefits she received through fitness. Since then, his muscle decrease has significantly slowed, which they did not expect since nothing else he tried in the past had helped. He has been able to keep working on his farm, and still is not in a wheel chair! They are together very dedicated to health and fitness after experiences all of the benefits it has brought, and continues to bring to their lives, and even keep their workouts up on their vacations! They are both an inspiration through their consistent hard work, and to show the great benefits that specialized exercise can do for injuries and medical conditions.

My favorite exercise

My two favorite exercises are pull-ups and squats. Pull-ups are very challenging, and feel really rewarding when accomplished. Training to be able to do pull-ups help strengthen major upper body muscle groups. Squats work the biggest muscle groups in your body, which in turn burn more calories for you. They are the best exercise to shape the butt, which many women love. They also strengthen the muscles surrounding your knees to help protect them, and make getting up from a chair while holding a child, or walking up stairs feel easy.
