My name is Jane Torbinski, owner of Pride Fitness. I am certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer and an Orthopedic Exercise Specialist. I discovered fitness later in life. To put it mildly, I did not have a healthy lifestyle in my younger years. As I got older I began looking at things differently. I wanted to get strong and fit and I wanted to help others do the same. After a 23 yr career I made a change and started a new career in fitness. I believe we owe it to ourselves to take control of our physical fitness. My goal is to make that easier for you to accomplish. At Pride Fitness our mission is to make fitness and healthy living a priority for all. Helping clients reach their goals and sharing in the experience is our motivation. We understand the demands of a career and family obligations, sometimes just getting to the gym is the biggest hurdle. Pride Fitness is an alternative to gym membership. You can work out where you are most comfortable, in the privacy of your own home, the park, corporate gym, coop gym, the rec center, etc.

I've been working with Jane for over five years, week in and week out. I had been working with trainers for many years before meeting her, but Jane is the first who really understands how our bodies change as we get older, and has been able to alter my program every week to suit my injury, energy and flexibility levels. She is continuously trying to figure out what works for me, how to engage me, and incorporates strength, flexibility and balance work seamlessly into a regimen I can adapt for my use at other times of the week. She is kind and thoughtful, and doesn't have to yell at me or scare me to get me to work hard.
I have been training with Jane for 2 years. She has helped and motivated me towards my fitness goals. Each session is different. She uses a combination of strength, agility, and cardio training. Her workouts are well rounded. She is patient and encouraging. She also takes the time to educate herself on any physical issue you as a client maybe having.
