I am a NASM certified personal trainer, model and mother. I began my fitness journey at 16 years old shortly after signing with my first modeling agency. Modeling gave me the motivation I needed to practice a consistent gym routine.
Shortly after I ventured from the usual cardio machines to the weights. The results I experienced from incorporating weight training into my routine far surpassed anything I had achieved from the hours of cardio I would do daily. Two years later, through tons of research and trial and error I found a method that worked. Practicing the proper routines in the gym in combination with good nutrition I went from an insecure girl weighting only 115 pounds to a confident, strong women weighting 160 pounds.
?Once I experienced the power of making health and fitness a priority I had a desire to help change the lives of others using the same outlet. The weight room.
Consistency is key. Consistency gets results. Follow the workouts as best you can, and practice proper nutrition outside of the gym and results will follow.
Be patient. Results take time. It's great to have an overall goal, but it's best you break those up into smaller goals. Reaching small milestones along the way will make the journey even more rewarding.
Practice self love. Accept your body through all stages. You deserve to.
Health should be your priority. The positive physical changes are a bonus. An active you, is a healthier you. Change your lifestyle for you.
Everything in moderation. You should stick to a consistent exercise routine and healthy diet most of the time, but you are still deserving of treats. Practice self control.
