Dane is a great personal trainer. He handles himself professionally and is very friendly with his clients. He is able to figure out your goals and knows how to help you meet them. While training with Dane, I made a huge step towards accomplishing my goals. But more importantly, I walked away with the knowledge and skills to meet those goals. Dane is a great guy and I would absolutely train with him again in the future.
If you want a trainer who is patient and flexible with your workout experience, I would recommend working with Dane in a heartbeat. I was fairly new to every machine in the gym, but Dane was able to show me how everything worked and wasn’t condescending about it. What I enjoyed the most however was his ability to make me feel like my goals were possible by just trying. At times, I felt hopeless about using the gym but I was able to gain confidence throughout our sessions. Not only was he able to show me how to create a good gym routine, but he also showed me some great workouts that I could do at home (which I sometimes prefer). It wasn’t just training sessions to help me be healthier, but also sessions that of someone who truly does want you to succeed beyond the gym. Overall, my experience with Dane was great and I would do it again!
Dane trained me in the Spring of 2017 at ASU West. He was very professional and built a completely customized and comprehensive work out plan that included all different kinds of exercises. He tracked my weekly progress and calculated weights and designed programs and sets that were challenging and effective. He also consulted me about the time I spend in the gym and at home working out on my own. We also did also a variety of muscle measurements and flexibility tests. Dane is a really cool, friendly, personable guy. He takes his time to get to know you and your goals and works with you to do whats right. I hope to do more personal training with him in the future. Dane is an excellent trainer. He was able to ascertain my physical limitations and guide me through exercises perfect for overcoming those limitations. He listened very well and encouraged me to communicate how exercises made me feel. Dane also listened to my stories a lot and shared his own. He brightened my day, and he even shared the ups and downs of my life. He was a friend as much as a trainer. I highly recommend him.
Having Dane Olson as a personal trainer did not disappoint. Being a beginner in the gym he helped me discover what I am capable of. He boosted my self-confidence about working out. I learned what was easy for me and what was challenging. He pushed me to keep going even when I felt like giving up. As a result of having him train me for six months, I gained strength and have the ability to work out on my own without the fear of doing something wrong.
