About Derek

Dedication. Motivation. Accountability. These are the pillars of success from which I have seen is the difference for my clients since I started training in 2007. I expect a high level of dedication, work ethic and commitment from my clients, and in turn that is what I promise to give to you. I take your goals very seriously and personally and I want to be a trainer you can lean on and trust to get you to your fitness goals.

Training towards a goal needs to be about a lifestyle change. Building strength, losing weight or training for a fitness goal must be won in the mind before it can be achieved by the body. It is my goal to help all my clients embrace their physical fitness and health as a way to change their entire life like it did mine.

My favorite client story

I have had many clients over the years and it is hard to pinpoint just one story that I choose as my favorite. I have trained people of all different age ranges and for different situations. I have trained many people in their late 50's and beyond who have told me they have never been in better shape, I have helped women stay healthy during pregnancies and post-pregnancy, I have helped men and women prior to their weddings, and I have helped high school kids improve their performance for their sport. I strive to be an all-encompassing trainer and I vow that if I do not have the answer for you, I will look towards all my resources to help you find it.

My favorite exercise

I like complex exercises for their functionality and their ability to aid in all programs (weight loss, strength gain, etc.) I approach training with the mentality of switching and progressing programs often to keep workouts fresh and prevent plateaus.

My favorite quote

The only thing separating you from your goals are the excuses you are making for yourself.
