About Rafael

I believe you can achieve a lot of goals through fitness, because it is a battle against yourself. My clients are happy, excited to work out and have a “never-give-up” attitude. They share their hopes and feelings of accomplishment and I have the privilege of celebrating that with them.  With over 12 years of experience I can help you achieve your goals are you ready?

As a child I was shy, overweight and had low self esteem because I wasn’t fit like the other kids. My passion for fitness grew in high school. Back then, my main goal was to join the professional wrestling industry. Wrestlers in the industry are huge and athletic, so I decided to join football for the athleticism. I also started studying muscle & fitness magazines for bodybuilding inspiration.

After I graduated from college in 2006, I became a certified Personal Trainer. As I continued learning about the fitness industry and understanding the mechanics of the human body, I started moving away from bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn’t reflect the training style I practice now.

Even though my personal training career started as a side job, it later grew out to be more than that. I was helping my clients get results which inspired me to help many more.  Once you know your limits you can challenge them through fitness and be a better version of yourself. I myself, just like you, have gone through several personal life changes and struggles. These struggles have given me this “over-the-edge” attitude that I needed in order to have an impact on more people’s lives.

I am a very knowledgeable trainer with over 12 years of experience who can help you achieve which ever goal you have. My goal is not only to help you reach your goals but also to educate you and share my knowledge of fitness so that your healthy lifestyle sticks for life. I worked with Rafael last year when he worked at my old gym, I am so happy to have found him again! During the 4 months we worked together he helped me understand what it was I really needed other than just lose weight. I gained muscle, flexibility and good eating habits. He was very patient with me and modified workouts for my bad knee. In the end, people were telling me how great I looked and asking me what I was doing to lose weight. Unfortunately, I stopped working out regularly but will definitely work with him again and get back on track. PS my knee is doing way better thanks to corrective exercises he had me do that I still do today.
