About Chris
Hi! My name is Chris and I’m a certified personal trainer offering remote training and in-person sessions in the Boston area. I have 7 years of professional coaching experience with over 6,000 client sessions completed. Training is an evolving science and I want you to join me on the cutting edge. Together we’ll build a training and lifestyle plan guided by research, grounded in years of coaching experience and tailored to YOU.
I’ve pushed high school and collegiate athletes to peak performance, rehabilitated a few knees and shoulders and trained a lot of people into new wardrobes. I’m proud of all these things but most proud of seeing the change in what people think is possible for themselves and their body.
Let's Aim High Together!
-- My primary location is Danehy Park in North Cambridge. I have ample equipment to give you a truly gym quality workout under the sun and in the fresh air. Nearby indoor training options are available on bad weather days.
My favorite client story
Two of my adult clients gaining an inch at their yearly physical because of their improved posture is hard to top. My longest tenured client dumbbell bench pressing the 100's was a great milestone. Beyond that I would say the constant stories of people shocking old friends with the changes they've made are always fun to hear.
My favorite exercise
For clients: the squat because it's the one you're mostly likely doing wrong and will gain the most from doing right.
For myself: the deadlift.

I hired Chris to help me become more comfortable in the gym and teach me proper strength-training form, as I try to put on some muscle for self-confidence, aesthetic reasons, and the general health benefits. In just nine sessions, Chris not only coached me through the workouts he designed and helped me with the exercises I specifically requested, but he also taught me how to think about the targeted muscles and movements to adapt the regime for different gym settings, interests, and progress levels on my own. Chris coached in a kind, straight-shooting, friendly, flexible, motivational, and non-judgmental manner. I appreciated his focus on helping me get the most out of a limited number of sessions toward my goals. For anyone else self-conscious about being new to strength training, I highly recommend him!
Chris is an amazing coach and educator. I love the studio setting for the undivided one on one time. This allows me to retain what we learn and strengthen my skills week over week all while having a fun time. I respect the amount of professionalism Chris brings to each session and a great attitude to match.
I highly recommend Chris as a personal trainer! I have been working with him for almost 2 years now and continue to enjoy my sessions and see a ton of progress. Chris is encouraging during workouts and always great to chat with between sets. He's very communicative and has been flexible the times that I need to reschedule, even if it's more last minute. I am in my 20s and train with him and both my parents who are 65 and 71 train with him, so he works well with all fitness levels. Definitely give training with Chris a shot, you won't regret it!
I have worked with Chris long enough to have my goals change almost completely and I am so proud of what he’s helped me achieve. I was a skinny mini runner when we started and he helped me build strength and muscle until I could squat more than my bodyweight and do my first pull up (I can do three now!) I decided to circle back to running and Chris helped me prep for a half marathon which I PR’d by almost 12 minutes. He’s funny, always encouraging and a great teacher. I’ve recommended him to friends and would recommend him to to you!
I have been working with Chris for two years now, including in-person and via monthly workout programs that he creates for me to do on my own. Chris' approach to training is very thoughtful - always keeping my goals in mind and paying close attention to the specific areas that I'm looking to improve, while regularly changing things up to keep my workouts fresh and exciting. He's open to feedback when things aren't working, or when I express interest in trying something new, and then works with me to adjust my program accordingly. He is also incredibly knowledgeable about exercise science and is great about explaining why we do certain things, in a way that's easy to understand - I've learned so much! As a trainer, he is motivating, supportive, flexible, highly professional, and personable - overall, a compassionate person who is easy to talk to and work with. Since working together, I've seen noticeable improvements in my strength, my cardio endurance, and my overall confidence and knowledge in the gym.
Chris is an expert at his craft. He is clearly very knowledgeable, but breaks things down in a way that in a way that makes sense. The work out plan he developed has me looking and feeling different after just two months! Back pain and shoulder pain almost gone, losing fat and gaining muscle. If you’re serious about getting back into shape, or just taking your fitness regimen to the next level—you will be happy you signed up!
I worked with Chris for one year while I was studying in university. In that time I gained muscle everywhere on my body and became much stronger than I believed possible. He joked in the beginning that I would need a new wardrobe but after a few months it was true! He was very helpful to help me change my diet and would often check in with me to help me stay disciplined. I continue to train in China with programs Chris writes me but I wish we could still train in person!
Chris is a very knowledgeable teacher! He gives details and constructive guidance. He’s very motivating and persistent. He tries many different methods to help me find what works for me. Chris is very personable and truly cares about the work he puts in. Thanks to him, I’ve made lots of progress and consistently staying on my fitness path. If you need a guidance to reach your fitness goal, I highly recommend Chris.
