About Chris

In my 6 years and over 5,000 client sessions of experience one thing I've learned is that a good trainer has to wear a lot of hats. In the early going, I draw on my experience as a classroom English teacher to communicate new movements to you with patience and clarity. As you grow in technical skill my role becomes more motivational, steadily pushing you beyond what you thought you could do. Having made you into a hardened gym warrior my work finally becomes about helping you channel your effort so that we're working hardest on the things that will help you most. Whatever your current level of fitness is and whatever your goals may be, we can work together to find just the right amount of challenge for you. Let's aim high together. -- Note on locations and pricing -- I train primarily out of Gym Hub which is located in Downtown Crossing. I also travel to home and apartment gyms if they are within a 10min walk from one of the Red Line stops between Downtown Crossing and Alewife.

My favorite client story

Two of my adult clients gaining an inch at their yearly physical because of their improved posture is hard to top. My longest tenured client dumbbell bench pressing the 100's was a great milestone. Beyond that I would say the constant stories of people shocking old friends with the changes they've made are always fun to hear.

My favorite exercise

For clients: the squat because it's the one you're mostly likely doing wrong and will gain the most from doing right.

For myself: the deadlift.
