I have worked as a top tier Personal Trainer for FFC, XSport and Lifetime Fitness as well as a Program Director for Xsport. I have been an active contributor to many fitness publications as well as a successful fitness model.
My training background began in the U.S. Navy and when I left, I know right away what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Spending the last 15 years with the great honor and privelage of not only seeing, but being an integral part of people reaching and exceeding their goals has been an absolute dream come true. Chris helped me tremendously to get back in shape after a long break, he was very professional and informative throughout our sessions which were both varied and challenging. I also learnt a lot about the right way to train to activate certain muscle groups without injury and received advice on diet and nutrition.
I have been a client of Chris's for over 3 months now and while working with him I have lost over 30 pounds (I am a 33 yr old male with a peak weight of 300 lbs). Chris is a highly qualified, committed, no-nonsense trainer. The client relationship begins with a meeting to discuss your goals, motivation, eating habits, and lifestyle. Following that is a physical assessment where he will take all your measurements and gauge your overall fitness level with a series of physical tests. Training sessions begin thereafter. Chris is very knowledgeable and knows every conceivable exercise there is to know. I see him 4 times a week and every training session is completely different - no repeat routines. I have worked with him in a tiny residential gym as well as a larger gym and it is impressive how he can improvise and introduce variety no matter how limited the available equipment may be. More importantly, he stresses the importance of technique/form so that you not only get the most effective workout but also so that you do not injure yourself. He will not let you get away with poor form even if he has to keep reminding you. His overall approach is direct and results oriented so he is best suited for someone who is ready and willing to make lifestyle changes and can seriously commit to the program. I also mention this because Chris is selective about who he takes on as a client.
Where to begin...Chris is an amazing guy all around. He takes tremendous pride in all he does and makes it abundantly clear that he is beyond passionate about his clients and their well being. I have worked with Chris for about 5 months and have not only lost the 25 lbs I wanted to lose , but my body has some amazing shap3 and you can see subtle muscle tone everywhere. Chris really redefined how I viewed fitness by choosing unique exercises that leverage multiple muscle groups at the same time. Previously, I exercised mainly by focusing on muscle group at a time.
