About Paul

My passion for fitness was born when beginning high school, as I had the privilege to participate in sports with many gifted athletes. Unfortunately, I did not initially embrace strength training and conditioning as I did not view myself as a physically strong or well conditioned individual. However, my fire burned daily to become the best athlete I could possibly be and this motivated me to workout daily. Today, fitness and health is my number one passion and I could not imagine having a career outside of this arena.

After high school, I decided to enroll at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin to pursue a bachelors in exercise science and eventually a doctorate in physical therapy. Throughout my time in school, family and friends reached out to me so that they could accomplish their fitness goals. My proudest moments during this time period came when working with a female in her early 20's. This individual's main goal was to become a member of the Chicago Blackhawks Ice Crew Team. By programming her workouts and educating her on appropriate lifestyle changes, she made the team in 2011 and served as a team member through the 2015 season.

After completing all of my didactic coursework in physical therapy school at Carroll University, all I had left was to complete one clinical internship to earn my doctorate in physical therapy (DPT). On this clinical internship, I completely lost my passion for this career choice and ultimately made the decision to change my career path. This decision led me to becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, whose occupational goals are to have a significant impact on my clients through preventive care and have my clients achieve their personal fitness goals. With these goals consistently on my mind, I wake up every morning as a very happy man.

I can remember the first time Paul asked me if I needed a workout partner. It was 8 years ago, we both were Juniors in highschool and in need of motivation. I was a scrawny 5ft. 10in. 145lb teenager in need of some muscle and Paul was the man to help me put it on. From day one I could tell this kid had a drive like no other, a drive that said I will not let anything stand in my way. He has seen me through it all, the struggles and triumphs, but he never let me lose sight of my goal and how far we have come since day one. I can honestly tell you that if it weren’t for Paul, I would still be that scrawny 145lb kid in a 25 year old body. Because of Paul’s motivation and commitment to my fitness goals, today I am a 215lb athlete and not only do I owe every pound of muscle to him,but every ounce of confidence I have gained along the way.

Paul Rogus is a really knowledgeable trainer who has helped me to achieve all of the goals so far that I set forth with him. He sets up a very unique workout regimen that hits everything you are looking for. He is very reliable and flexible to always meet at a time that works for you. During the workouts, he will push you to the limit and ensure you are doing proper techniques for the most optimal gains. I would recommend working with Paul to anyone who is seeking to achieve his or her personal fitness goals.

I cannot say enough good things about Paul! I love how he tailors the workout to my needs, goals, and capabilities. He is a wealth of fitness knowledge. He is big on doing exercises properly and he takes the time to teach you how to have the best form to maximize effectiveness. I like how he demonstrates the exercises first, talks you through it and corrects your form along the way. Paul is a very passionate trainer and it shows in his workouts. His positive and upbeat attitude continues to motivate and challenge me.

I have been training with Paul for ~5 weeks now, and each session is better than the previous one. It's time really well invested and I look forward to keep training with him for a while!
