About Jason

My passion for health and fitness began a little later in life. I had a busy career, a beautiful family but still something was not quite complete. My knees ached, my back hurt and I spent way too? much time wishing for something more.  I just didn't know what that more was.

 

At the time, there was a lot of late night infomercials for a 90 day transformation workout. Weeks went by and I finally got up the nerve to order it. I was excited, I had finally found the missing link to my life. 

 

Five to six days a week, I was up at 5am in front of the TV going through the paces with the funny guy on the screen. I more or less completed the 12 weeks but I was not “shredded”, not really close to shredded. 

I must not of worked hard enough, so I re-committed to another round of 12 weeks and all I got was was exhausted. I had to take naps in my truck during my lunch break, I fell asleep sitting up on the couch as soon as I got home and I struggled to get up at 5am the next day to do it all over again. Life was miserable. 

 

Finally, I started researching exercise and fitness on the Internet. I found a whole world of variety and information. I started trying different things and slowly things progressed. 

 

I learned how to eat better, exercise better and most importantly I learned how to rest better. No more cookie cutter workout/nutrition plans. I learned what worked best for my body and for my life. Most importantly, I learned that I didn't need to have shredded abs or bulging muscles like the people on the covers off the magazines. I was doing this for me and my family.

 

So, this really is just a long winded way of explaining why I am here now and why I quit my career to become a personal trainer and health coach. I understand a piece of the struggle and I want to be there for you. You see, I really enjoy helping others, it is a small adrenaline rush every time. I get excited when you are able to do something that you thought was impossible six months ago. 

Will it be difficult? Will you want to give up? Will life throw a curveball or get in the way? Absolutely it will! But you will get right back up and push right through it all and I hope you will let me be there to cheer you on.


My training philosophy

Facilitating change and seeing progress that I helped to create is very rewarding. Working one-on-one with people who want to make those changes but do not know where to start. I guess is all boils down to teaching.

Jason is hands down the best Trainer I’ve ever had. He is incredibly knowledgeable in fitness, nutrition, and overall health.
