About Alcine

Hi! I started my weight-loss journey in 2009 when I had reached my highest weight ever of over 300 pounds. I was very depressed, I had no energy and I felt as there was no coming back. Then one day I woke up and decided to hit the gym. 5 years later I am now a group exercise instructor and personal trainer and recently competed in my very first bodybuilding competition where I placed 2nd. I have been teaching group exercise classes since 2011 and have been doing personal training since 2013. I'm so blessed to do what I love every day and that is to help others reach their fitness goals. I want to help you to you. I know what it is like to be overweight, to yo yo diet, and to fight with depression. However, I am a true testament that, that doesn't have to be your life. You can make that change and I'm here to help you every step of the way. Since I'm also "a mini gym on wheels" (who's packing some fitness gear), you don't need a "home gym" to achieve the results you want and deserve. (You might, however, need to purchase a few very inexpensive pieces of fitness equipment).


My favorite client story

My favorite client story is with a 16 year old I used to train. She was working to improve strength to one day join the armed forces. One day, on a leg day, we were doing deadlifts - her most hated leg exercise. Well that day she must've been in a good mood. She maxed her deadlift that day and threw down the weight like she was dropping the mic. I couldn't stop laughing. She was one of my favorite clients because no matter how much she didn't like something (which was just about everything) she never gave up. I'm happy to say she is a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army now.
