About Leonardo

I am Coach Leo, Owner/Operator of Lunar Fitness. I am an exercise professional with two degrees in the field and I am certified through the American College of Sports Medicine, which means I must know what I'm doing half the time :) I empower busy business women/men through in-home personal training services within a 10 mile radius if 90247. I empower busy parents who are limited in their budgets to attend my Fitness bootcamp which I am in the process of creating. I empower gastric bypass patients by helping them lose "X" amount of weight in order to get cleared for life saving weight loss surgery. I empower big couples to lose weight in order to have a healthier/higher chance at starting a family. I empower former athletes to rekindle the fire from their youth through functional/sports-specific training.


My favorite client story

My favorite client story is when I was working at LA Fitness and I ask a client what are your goals why are you here why don't you step into the gym what is your why what do you want to do commencing At first she just wants to do is wait and then I eventually told her what my motivation was what she was eventually to pay off all of my debt and the pay back my parents for the last 26 years of raising are taking over every expenses that they have and then some after I told her my motivation she opened up a little more and said that she wants to lose weight so she can start a family and once I heard that I was immediately doesn't I need and want to help you over the course of that year she lost 47 + pounds and last I heard of her she is 3 months pregnant and I was about 3 months ago so now she's about six or seven months pregnant I'm just excited and happy cuz I helped her manifest that goal and manifest a little human being that's f****** amazing

My favorite exercise

My favorite exercise is the trap bar deadlift! Its more functional and you can even warm up and do farmer carries with it!

My training philosophy

Functional/movement style training over everything else. That means balance, core strength, overall functionability, and posture over everything else. That's bodyweight, bands, dumbbells, barbells, plus various other technical applications in order to get the body to respond in a very functional way.

My training experience

I have two degrees in the field. I worked at 24 Hr Fitness and LA Fitness. I got promoted to Master Trainer at La Fitness because i was able to handle 50-70 clients and doing over 250-300 average sessions a month consistently. It was very enduring but with this experience, there is probably no client type that I cammot handle. The only one I do not want to work with are pre/post natal clientele.
