Kristine Brenner
About Kristine
Most importantly, I believe in you. I'm a human being, too. I struggle to find motivation sometimes, just like you. I know that most people don't have a passion for fitness like I do, and I don't expect that. My main goal is education. You need to know why you're doing what you're doing every step of the way -- and what to expect. I'm an exercise science major but my love for fitness goes way beyond the classroom. I believe in setting one ultimate goal, but I also believe in order to stay motivated to get there, you need to set sub-goals. If you want to buy a house and you're just starting to save, looking ahead and thinking about saving $10,000 is daunting, but holding yourself accountable to a weekly or monthly sub-goal to get there, suddenly makes your dream seem more attainable. I don't believe in the scale, especially for women since our weight fluctuates with the weather. I will measure your inches weekly to track your progress and create workouts tailor-made to you and your interests. My goal is to guide you in a way that does not feel like torture, but rather, empowerment. I hold myself to the highest standard of professionalism, and pride myself on always improving with my clients. If at any time, you don't think something is working or you don't feel comfortable, or even if you're just bored, you can tell me and we can adjust. My job is to serve you to my best ability in achieving your lifestyle and fitness goals. Train SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.
My favorite client story
My favorite client story is my first in-home client, a 70 year old man named Jerry, who has since passed away. He had just suffered a stroke and had no use of his left leg or foot. He was so fun to spend time with and work with but the best text I ever received from him was saying “we did it Kristine, I just went bowling with my grandkids”. That man will forever be the biggest challenge and success I’ve ever had.
My favorite exercise
My favorite exercise is by far the deadlift! It’s intimidating and hard to master, but it is achievable through concentrated progressions and effort and when you get it, you feel empowered and strong and they make you look GOOD
