About Jessica
My name is Jessica and I’m a certified personal trainer through ACE. I specialize in quick 30-60 minute workouts for busy men and women. I enjoy working with beginners and those who have been working out for a few years. My typical sessions include weight lifting, resistance bands and plyometrics. I can work with those who have little to no equipment and those who have home gyms. We can do virtual zoom sessions or I can write you a plan that you do on your own while checking in with me through texting.
A little about me... I have been bodybuilding since 2017 but fitness has been a huge part of my life since I was a teenager. I remember waking up before school to workout to those cheesy old fashioned workout videos. Then I got on the swim team in high school and college. During college, I developed a chronic illness which severely affected my energy and activity level. With my depression, anxiety and autoimmune disease spiraling out of control, I knew I had to make a life change. I discovered kickboxing through a Groupon add and quickly fell in love. I was taking 3-5 classes a week for 5 years. My mental and physical health was finally improving but I was never fully happy with my physique. All throughout that time, I would lift weights intermittently, but I was your typical cardio queen… doing as much cardio as possible while hoping to gain the physique I’ve always dreamt about; constantly frustrated because that goal was not being reached.
Not until I found the bodybuilding community in 2017, did I actually build that physique and also gain full control over my mental health and autoimmune disease. Weightlifting is my main form of exercise with some cardio mixed in (ya know, for that mental health and cardiac health).
Through weight training, my confidence sky rocketed so much that I am able to model and step on a stage for bodybuilding competitions. If you knew me 5 years ago, you would never believe that this would be me today. I was always that shy, quiet, anxiety-ridden little girl.
I started competing in 2018 and have done 8 shows since then with WNBF, OCB and NPC.
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO LIFT WEIGHTS, especially ladies. Lifting weights will get you those toned arms, that lifted bubble butt and those strong defined legs you’ve always wanted. And give you that boost of self-esteem that we all need.
