About Michelle
My fitness focus is on health and wellness as opposed to achieving a certain body type or number on a scale. My training style resonates well with beginners, women over 40 or those who have struggled to adopt fit habits in the past. I am a wife, mother and breast cancer survivor who is past the half-century mark. I have been through it all in the realm of fitness and eager to share my professional expertise and real-world experiences with my clients so they can achieve their goals and be well for a lifetime.
My favorite client story
My client got tired of waiting for her husband to deposit an old TV set at the curb for waste pick-up. She was so proud of herself when she realized she knew how to lift and carry it safely and plenty strong enough to get it done - she couldn't wait to tell me! Weight loss stories are great. But, I cherish client stories surrounding strength, independence, self-efficacy and improved self-esteem the most.
My favorite exercise
Favorite cardio: Jumping Rope (makes me feel young!)
Favorite strength exercise: Squats
Favorite yoga asana: Warrior II
Favorite mat Pilates exercise: Scissors
My favorite quote
It's my own quote and my motto: "There is a fit and happier person inside everyone."
My training philosophy
There's a reason the number of long-term members of gyms and fitness studios remains static. That approach resonates with a finite population. My goal is to reach the rest of the population. I know how to do that because I'm a member of that population of "others" for whom traditional gyms and studios aren't quite the right fit. Each client has his or her own set of unique goals, motivations, preferences and hurdles. My role is to assist clients in unlocking what works and discarding what doesn't work so they can adopt fit habits that last a lifetime.
My training experience
I've been one-on-one training since I became certified (at the age of 41) in 2010. I also teach fitness classes - including cardio conditioning, mat Pilates and yoga - for corporate wellness programs.

Michelle is an excellent trainer. I work out in my home and she has given me help on squats bc of my arthritic knees, and helped me figure out a good resistant band circuit. Highly recommended!
Michelle is wonderful, especially if you are new to personal training or just easing back into training after a hiatus. She is focused and thoughtful and listens to you and your body, and caters the program to your individual needs. Michelle is also just a lovely person to spend time with and workouts pass so quickly, you don’t even realize how hard you have been working out!
Michelle is a fantastic personal trainer. She tailors a program for your specific needs and abilities. She has a terrific knowledge of anatomy and physiology and applies that to choosing specific exercises for each person. Michelle listens to what you want out of a training session and makes sure she meets those needs and expectations I always leave a session feeling better than when I came in. Michelle is kind, respectful and fun to be with. She has my highest recommendation.
I’ve been working with Michelle for the past 7 years . She has been a G-d send for me . I have had back problems for decades . Working with Michelle has been my cure . I’m stronger , better posture and body awareness. I didn’t want to suffer back pains which I accomplished and lost inches along the way . It’s a win , win . Most of all Michelle is a lovely person . She ‘s kind , listens and truly cares about her clients. It’s been a pleasure to work with her.
It was a great introduction and I only wish it could have been in person, as much for Michelle as for me.
Amazing. Love her
