VerifiedAbout Ryan
I am a Certified Personal Trainer with over seventeen years of experience training clients. From elite athletes to people just getting into fitness. My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible in order to foster the environment most conducive to increasing your health. You tell me your goals, and I will work for you to create a program that is not only going to make you look better, but more importantly, feel better.
My main area of knowledge and treatment is around treating and preventing flat feet. Having had terrible experiences with health professionals in addressing my own injured foot, I developed a program to fix flat feet and get you out of pain. Addressing flat feet will help to prevent or correct hunched shoulders at any age. This is crucial to aging gracefully and preventing falls. If you are a younger person suffering from flat feet, now is the time to fix them. Knowing what I know now would have saved me years of constant pain that led to other severe injuries that destroyed my quality of life. The younger you are, the more chance we have of preventing and correcting your flat feet. I have trained kids as young as eight years old with excellent results and and a side bonus was an increase in athletic ability.
If you need someone to be tough on you in order to get that last rep; I can be that. If you respond better to a more relaxed environment, that's what you'll get. If you are unsure about what your fitness goals are, we will work together in order to create a plan that works for you.
Whether you are getting into fitness for the first time, recovering from an injury/ie, preparing for boot camp or getting more explosive at a sport, I can help you achieve your goals.
My favorite client story
A client in her late forties was going snow-skiing for the first time in over twenty years. She was a bit nervous about going, but we made sure to push her leg and balance exercises the month leading up to her trip. When she returned, she told me she was never sore(even though she was skiing all day for two days) and didn’t fall once.
My favorite exercise
Single leg glute bridge
My favorite quote
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man, true nobility is in being superior to your former self”
- Ernest Hemingway
My training philosophy
Ultra low-impact, sustainable exercises, that allow you to live with less or no pain and are scalable to any level of activity or age.
My training experience
Trained people from HIIT to rehabbing injuries for feet, knees, hips, shoulders and back.
I have mainly worked with people recovering from injuries and older clients. Had kids as young as seven work with me to address their flat feet and teenage athletes as well; all with excellent results.
