About Guy

My interests in fitness started out when I was in my senior year of high school. I was your typical angry, overweight teen and one day I looked at the scale and I was almost 200 lbs. I had finally has enough and decided to do something about it, so I bought my self a cheap weight set from Sears and it turned into the first step of many that lead me to where I am today. Sometime after that I found a local martial arts school where I learned that I had a love of not only fitness, but also martial arts.


Through martial arts I learned their was more to health and fitness than just lifting weights. I leaned about movement, functionality, and how much the mind can effect your health. I started teaching classes and I realized  how much I enjoyed having an impact on people's lives and helping them understand and utilize their body's potential. I decided that I wanted to help others who found themselves with similar struggles to my own, so I obtained my training certification, quit a full time job I hated, and went all in to bettering the lives of others through health and fitness. 


I help my clients obtain the fitness goals they desire, as well as feel more confident in themselves, by focusing on helping them not only move better, but also to better understand their bodies

My favorite client story

I do not have one favorite client story. There are many stories that I find special for different reasons. One of my clients started with me when he was very overweight and with very awkward motor functions due to his weight and height. Everyday he is more confident, more coordinated, and more lean!
I have another client who was very shy when she first started, just moved to the city, didn’t have a lot of friends, and, despite being and ex-athlete, wasn’t exactly sure where to start. Now she has created tons of friends at the gym through team training and classes. Plus she is now on the road to becoming a trainer herself!
Another client started with me on a whim, just because she realized received a free session when she signed on at the gym. She only liked taking yoga classes at first, and has told me she loves doing squats now!
There are many great stories I have about my clients, each of them and their accomplishments are special in their own way and I am excited by each and every one.

A year ago coming to the gym seemed like an insurmountable daunting task. Working with Guy has completely changed my fears and insecurities to motivation and a new lifestyle. Guy brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to his sessions to help someone who never trained at a gym understand the foundation of why you are doing certain movements while also mixing in fun. His sessions are challenging however most importantly motivational. His ability to keep you accountable is unparalleled. In a short time, Guy has taken me from not being able to even hold a push up position to doing multiple sets in his interval/conditioning sessions.
