About Thaddeus

The most rewarding part of personal training is helping my clients achieve success they never thought possible, whether it is improving performance, increasing energy, losing weight, or living pain free. For the past ten years, I have worked with everyone from professional athletes, busy professionals, and 60+ population, working with them to broaden their health and fitness goals: anything from competing at the highest level in their chosen sport, to running their first marathon, to playing with their kids or grandchildren without the nagging aches and pains that have plagued them for years.  My training style — informed through an internships with the widely recognized National Running Center at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center, Northeastern University, certifications from Buteyko Professionals International and Kettlebell Athletics, and a successful personal training practice at high-end private fitness clubs like Equinox — revolves around the details of movement, correct breathing, and body posture.  As a high-performance athlete, I know first-hand the importance of understanding the “why” behind the “what” and consider myself an educator in addition to being a trainer; I don’t just tell you what to do, I also teach you so that you can take a more active role driving your health results.

I worked with Thaddeus for almost a year. From our intake up until our last session, I found him to be a thorough, assertive, yet understanding trainer. He regularly checks in on days you don't see him, asks the right questions, challenges you, and holds you accountable for the work. I lost almost ten percent body fat during our time together - now, I realize I did a lot of the work but Thaddeus provided the tools, context and follow through to help me achieve these goals. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to explore personal training, up to really experienced people looking for that extra step.

Favorite trainer of all time! I would absolutely recommend training with Thaddeus to anyone who is looking for a trainer who can deliver the results you want. Not only am I in the best shape of my life, I have had a blast along the way. Upon my initial meeting with Thaddeus, he did not force his views of what shape I should be in, but instead he listened to what goals I had, and he catered my workout program to match. I have been working out on my own for almost 10 years now, and I reached out to train with Thaddeus because I wanted some interesting new workouts as well as feedback on my form while lifting. Something he is incredibly intuitive with is how each muscle group/body part is transitioning through each workout, and he has made me incredibly self-aware of how my body should be feeling and working. I want to be working out my entire life, so for me, being able to work out and avoid injury is key. With Thad’s guidance, I feel confident I am working out correctly. My goals have been to build stronger, leaner muscles, lose fat, and improve my coordination/mobility. What I enjoy about Thaddeus’s workouts are that we typically do full-body workouts, instead of isolating specific muscle groups. That being said, there are specific days where I’ve told him I want to focus on specific areas (abs, glutes) and he hones in on those areas, but always brings other muscles into play too. My favorite exercises I’ve done with Thad usually involve kettlebells; something I previously had steered clear of due to not knowing how many different workout options there are. For me, Thad’s training style has been like a friend who likes to give you a tough time. He’s been able to figure out which workouts I dislike (pull-ups/chin-ups especially), and instead of letting me avoid them altogether, he’s eased me into them, and now I do them several times a week on my own by choice. I’m a visual learner so he’s been a good sport and demonstrated each workout so I can break them down and understand how to duplicate them. Also, his anecdotes for how to do certain moves are always highly entertaining. As much fun as I have though, I am always getting my ass kicked with a stellar workout. He always knows if my “abs are on” and if I’m trying to cut any corners. Word of advice: don’t cut corners, he’ll make you do it until you get it right. Honestly, you should 100% train with Thaddeus, no matter your age, goals, etc. I’ve gained a friend and quite a few muscles and the only reason why I no longer am training with him is because he is relocating to Philadelphia. He is great at answering quick questions on the fly, even when not “on the clock” as my trainer, and has always had my best interests in mind.
