About Ryan
I am a Certified Personal Trainer with over seventeen years of experience training clients. From elite athletes to people just getting into fitness. My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible in order to foster the environment most conducive to increasing your health. You tell me your goals, and I will work for you to create a program that is not only going to make you look better, but more importantly, feel better.
My main area of knowledge and treatment is around treating and preventing flat feet. Having had terrible experiences with health professionals in addressing my own injured foot, I developed a program to fix flat feet and get you out of pain. Addressing flat feet will help to prevent or correct hunched shoulders at any age. This is crucial to aging gracefully and preventing falls.
If you need someone to be tough on you in order to get that last rep; I can be that. If you respond better to a more relaxed environment, that's what you'll get. If you are unsure about what your fitness goals are, we will work together in order to find a plan that works for you.
I believe in finding fun ways to get healthy; that's why I strap a goblin to my chest when walking. Let's find a way to make fitness fun for you.
I became a Personal Trainer in order to help people achieve their fitness/health goals and I look forward to helping you achieve yours.
My favorite client story
A client in her late forties was going snow skiing for the first time in over twenty years. She was a bit nervous about going, but we made sure to push her leg and balance exercises the month leading up to her trip. When she returned, she told me she was never sore(even though she was skiing all day for two days) and didn’t fall once.
My favorite exercise
Single leg glute bridge
My favorite quote
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man, true nobility is in being superior to your former self”
- Ernest Hemingway
My training philosophy
Ultra low-impact, sustainable exercises, that allow you to live with less or no pain and are scalable to any level of activity or age.
My training experience
Trained people in HIIT to rehabbing injuries for feet, knees, hips, shoulders and back.
I have mainly worked with people recovering from injuries and older clients. Had kids as young as seven work with me to address their flat feet and teenage athletes as well, all with excellent results.
