About Stephanie

In-home personal fitness training for Women from 1 On 1 Fitness Training gives you a convenient alternative to working out at the gym. You'll get a personalized program geared toward your ability and interests, and you'll enjoy the convenience of training in the privacy and comfort of your own home.

My philosophy is that you don't need a state-of-the-art gym or several hours of the day to attain your fitness goals. Instead, most people need guidance on how to optimize the time they devote to their fitness and health-related goals. Another part of my philosophy is that the client is responsible for achieving the results, and that it takes an enormous amount of discipline and determination. But... my techniques soften the blow by making workouts fun, challenging, and a bit different each time.


My favorite client story

My favorite client success story is about Raquel, a 57 year old breast cancer survivor, who came to me after her first bout with cancer. She felt weak and depressed. We have continued to work together over the past 3 years and several surgeries. Some people would give up, but not Raquel. She takes 2 steps forward, 1 step back, but keeps pushing on. She goes into each surgery stronger mentally and physically than she was previously because she works so hard!

My favorite exercise

My favorite exercise that I like to use with my clients is any form of interval training. It builds strength, endurance, raises the metabolism, burns fat and builds lean muscle. Essentially, you get more bang for your buck, time wise.

My training experience

I have made personal fitness my passion for most of my adult life. After the birth of my second son, in 1997, I decided to turn this passion into a career. For over 15 years, I have, as a personal trainer, been improving the lives of many dedicated clients. I am certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer by the International Sports Sciences Association and I am also CPR/AED Certified.
