About Danielle

A graduate of the Skagit Valley College Health and Fitness Specialist Program. I also live and work on an organic vegetable farm. With commitment and regular practice you will have more energy, a higher metabolism, a stronger heart, and the power to do daily activities with less risk of injury. Be comfortable in your body, strong & relaxed. The cornerstone to wellness is preparing and eating whole foods. As a trained health coach, I value and encourage fueling the body for maximum performance. With TIME, ENERGY and ATTENTION you can tend to your body giving it the care deserved for the fantastic work it does. I will push you to discipline but also help you to integrate self-care, breath, and gratitude. Every class includes: Warm up. Functional Strength Training. Breathe & Movement. Primal Movements. Strategies and Cues for Behavioral Change. Balance Work. Cool Down Recovery. I like to train Outdoors whenever possible. I studied Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare where Nature, Group, Active Self and Reflection are integrated for optimum outcome. My current personal interests are permaculture, somatics, functional family therapy and paddle boarding. All levels welcome.

My favorite client story

A client, who became a dear friend, hated her body. She was at a crossroads having to decide if she would have surgery, uncertain with how to proceed. Feeling depressed yet driven to change her situation she worked with me for 12 weeks.
We practiced functional movements. She committed to listening to her body. She voiced her hopes of being a singer and an advocate for other women. We moved outside, over hills, and logs, through fields and to rivers. Nature's elements were her teachers. She gained muscle mass but more important was the strength of personal power she gained along the way.

My favorite exercise

Bear ? Crawls

My favorite quote

Life is a garden: dig it!

My training philosophy

Wholistic Wellness. Body Mind Nature, no seperation. Discipline and self- care are equally important. Push Your Limits. Feed Your Body. Take Recovery Time. Certain behaviors and foods require relentless building of blockades and new paths, new ways of approaching life. We can and do change. All the time we are growing.

My training experience

Beginning in 2013, I interned in medical fitness, african dance, and boot camp for substance abuse treatment.
I taught group fitness at Riverside Health Club for 4 years, briefly at Quantum Yoga, before moving to full-time as a fitness instructor and recreation counselor at a large residential drug treatment facility. Since July 2020, I'm focusing fully on one to one and small group personal training and health coaching on the farm.
