Prior to becoming a Personal Trainer 17 years ago, I was a Licensed Physical Therapist for 10 years. Frustrated with having to discharge patients long before they reached their personal goals of rehabilitation, I was often asked if I did Personal Training on the side. After 10 years as a Physical Therapist, I changed my career to a full-time Personal Trainer and have never regretted it.
I work with all clients from Division I College football players preparing for their Pro Days to 80 year old men and women who have various medical conditions to middle age people who just want to age gracefully. Some of my clients have been with me for as long as 15 years. Bottom line, I find out what your movement dysfunction is and I help you fix it. My clients then move better and therefore want to move more, reaching goals they did not think were possible. Signing an NFL contract, hitting a golf ball farther, walking down stairs without knee pain are all possible with the right trainer.
Every new client gets a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) which safely determines the appropriate starting point for your training program. Based off the results of the FMS we might work on mobility training, diaphragmatic breathing, resetting movement patterns, to dead-lifts, kettlebell swings to push-ups or pull-ups.
The result of this kind of programming will be life changing.
