VerifiedAbout Gregory
As a personal trainer, I enjoy training all types and levels of individuals, but I have additional training, experience, and knowledge when working with seniors, post-rehab, and out-of-shape clients. Every client gets an individualized workout based on their needs and goals. More importantly, I teach them ways to make their fitness goals sustainable so that they can continue to make progress on their own and in the future. I look at my clients as a whole not just as parts. Many clients come to me with vague goals like to lose weight, gain strength and feel better. But I try to look at things like their posture, balance, flexibility, and mental attitude to determine how to get them to reach their goals in a sustainable way. This way I give them the tools to continue to improve now and in the future.
My favorite client story
A client was assigned to me who won a few training sessions at the gym's grand opening celebration. She had never had a trainer before and had several medical issues that would limit the intensity of the workouts. Her free sessions ran out in a few weeks but she continued to purchase training. Over the months I trained her she continued to meet and far exceeded her goals. She got to her ideal weight (lost 40lbs), her doctor took her off several of her meds, was able to return to activities she loved (biking) and got a new lease on life as a healthy multi-cancer survivor.
My favorite exercise
So many people today seem to have developed the curved shoulders. Whether from years of being slumped over a keyboard or just from poor posture, many of my clients complain of neck or shoulder pain. That's why I always include some kind of pulling exercise, like the Row, in almost every workout.
My training philosophy

But I try to look at things like their posture, balance, flexibility and mental attitude to determine how to get them to reach their goals in a sustainable way.
