Hello! My name is Ehren Cahill and I am a certified Personal Trainer in the greater Hartford business district of Connecticut. I have a specialization in Sports Nutrition as well as credentials for Zumba, Barre and other group fitness instruction. I earned my bachelors in Economics from Linfield College and completed my MBA at University of Hartford in 2019. Outside of fitness, I work for Nordstrom and I work as a home organizational consultatant, so in all aspects of my work I aim to help clients look and perform their best.
As a part time trainer, I specialize in clients who have commitments to work, school, or family and I aim to provide expertise in the gym and in building successful routines. I started working out as a way to complement my performance on the Swimming and Tennis teams I played on in college and after graduation I learned how important it is to move for physical and mental health. Movement is a powerful tool, and I understand that group fitness or at home routines can be as impacful as an hour at the gym so my goal with each client is to help align them with the the resources and opportunities to find the movements they like best.
I am currently based out of Designed Training in Glastonbury, Connecticut. I am available for in home training and sometimes available for consultations in your gym of membership. My rates are higher than some local because of the range of services blended and applied to the work for each client, however these prices can be range depending on work performed outside of sessions. For a full portfolio, please visit my personal website or reach out directly for information.
My favorite exercise
Kettlebell swings are my favorite exercise! I love seeing a client work up in their strength to confidently perform this exercise, and in my own programming I enjoy incorporating this move into HIIT routines and strength routines alike.
My training philosophy
My philosophy for personal training means working with clients to develop physical fitness while learning how to maintain and challenge themselves on their own. Sessions are likely to "the why" behind each exercise as well as tips for making each move or routine more challenging to practice outside of sessions.
My training experience
I became certified through the American Council on Exercise in 2018 and shortly after earned my license for Zumba Instruction. I interned for Courthouse Athletics in Salem, Oregon, before moving to Connecticut to pursue my MBA. Working with lululemon and organizations like the New Haven Pride Center I have had the opportunity to continue making an impact on communities nearby with my expertise. I earned my specialization in Sports Nutrition in November of 2019 and recently became TotalBarre qualified after instruction with Cate Vallone from Meg McDermott. I work primarily based out of Designed Training in Glastonbury, CT, where I work with fitness professionals as clients for personal training and business consulting.
