About Karly

I am a very dynamic trainer. I work with all ages and fitness goals. My priority is to be creative and design a workout specific to your personality, interests and goals. Exercise should be enjoyable as well as beneficial. I can promise to aid you in attaining your fitness goals and help you acquire a passion for fitness. I have a very friendly, upbeat personality and can pretty much get along with anyone. I am also a sponsored athlete of a fitness clothing line and supplement company, so I will be able to recommend supplements to further help you achieve your goals if need be.

With the majority of my clients, I have found weight training and body weight exercises to be the most beneficial approach to weight loss as well as building lean muscle. Everyone's body is different, no two bodies react the same to a diet or exercise program. My goal is to figure out what style of training gets you the results you're looking for.


My favorite client story

I would have to say out of all my clients one of my first, Grant was one of my most memorable. He began training with me at the age of 12. His goal was weight loss, he was pretty overweight and couldn't do much. Especially at such a young age his neuromuscular efficiency hadn't fully developed yet. At first we did mainly cardio movements and body weight exercises. Once moving on to weight training, it was crucial to start off with very light weight to train his body with good form at an early age. He was one of the most dedicated clients I had ever had. At first he was so timid and insecure but such a hard worker, he would go till he couldn't last another second. Overtime he lost so much weight and now was just very skinny. We continued to work together now with the new goal of building more muscle. He is now 16, he is very muscular and has a six pack! Not too long ago he told me I get the credit for where he is today. When it was the hardest I was the one that supported and encouraged him to keep going. He has found such a passion for fitness and it is something he will carry out for the rest of his life.

My favorite exercise

I would have to say squats are my favorite exercise! Not only have they been said to burn the most calories of any exercise but training legs is defiantly my favorite. Squats are such an important exercise and a main movement, however form is crucial. There is a progressive way to learn the proper form of squats to avoid injuries. I've found squats to be one of the hardest exercises for people starting off. However, all of my clients are now squatting experts! Practice makes perfect!

My training experience

I received my first certification at the age of 18. My first job was at La Fitness where I worked as a personal trainer my senior year of high school. I have worked with almost every age group and experience level. I have experience with different workout styles, as well as injuries and know how to work around most.
