About Brandi

With an extensive educational background in Exercise Science and Physical Therapy, I am great match for any client who may have had injuries in the past and is trying to get back into their pre-injury state or who may have finished their rehab but does not feel comfortable continuing their work out program without a professional. I understand there is nothing more frustrating than not feeling like yourself or being able to perform the way you use to before the injury. I am dedicated to get you back into the shape your were in and better. I also specialize and see clients for normal Personal Training focusing on Strength Training/Weight Loss, Strength and Conditioning for athletes, Sports Specific training, and Children/Adolescent Fitness training.

Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you were going to do long after the mood you said it in has left you. My personal mission is to help you achieve this relationship, commitment and overall change in lifestyle to better improve your health and well-being. My favorite client story

One of my favorite success stories was a client I trained who was in the military. She worked a desk job but still had to pass a physical assessment. She failed her first physical assessment, unable to perform more than a few push ups and sit ups which were required of her test. She knew she needed help. By her next physical exam, she had lost 10-15 lbs. and gained more muscle mass. She was able to complete the required amount of push ups and sits ups. Her endurance had improved and she passed her exam.

My favorite exercise

I have a love-hate relationship with burpees. I hate doing them but I love the outcome after doing them as well as the thrill of progress the earlier they get.

My training experience

Licensed Physical Therapist since July 2011 treating a pediatric, sports medicine, and orthopedic population. Personal Training with TrainMe 24/7 since April 2013- clients of varying ages and goals such as weight loss, general fitness, strength training, rehabilitation from previous injuries. Lead boot camps with anywhere from 6-12 participants. Experience with Cardiac Rehabilitation with clients focusing on returning to normal activity and exercise after heart attacks, surgeries, etc. Heart Healthy Program at MUSC- focusing on overweight children/adolescents. Instructed the kids and parents on healthy eating, increased activity, and providing monitored workouts. Sports-specific training for adolescent/child athletes- Soccer, Basketball, Softball/Baseball.
