I have been an athlete my entire life. I was a competitive swimmer from the ages of 12-18, I rowed for a Division II school in college, and was a member of the 2015 United States Premier Women’s National Dragon Boat team. I currently race SUPs and run Ultra Marathons. I have placed in several Ultramarathons, incuding winning the 2019 Swamp 100k.
I decided to pursue my personal training certification because of my passion for health and fitness. I have years of experience from being an athlete, and wanted to share my knowledge and expertise with others. I love watching clients progress, and gain confidence in themseves and what their bodies can do.
I do in-home personal training, where I bring everything necessary for a productive workout to my clients residence, office, or a local park. After discussing the client’s fitness goals, and conducting initial assessments, I work with the client to come up with a training plan geared to the client’s athletic ability and learning style. The workouts I create are challenging and fun, and will help my clients achieve all of their fitness goals.
My favorite client story
I had a client who was obese when we began training together. She was unable to stand for more than 2 minutes at a time, and hardly left her residence because she was embarrassed about her appearance. Within one year of working together, she has lost 60lbs, can walk 1 mile without stopping, and regularly gets her nails done with friends. Her dedication and hard work, along with my knowledge and guidance, has help catapult her weight-loss and new found confidence.
My favorite exercise
I absolutely love planks (and plank variations), and well as lunges. Using one's own body weight is extremely effective in resistance training.

I have been a full-time personal trainer for 5 years now. I am also the head coach of the Jacksonville Fire Dragons dragon boat club, and have been coaching with the team for 7 years.

This is a recommendation of my friend, teammate and fitness coach Rebekah Alenduff. I have known Bekah for a number of years, we were on dragon boat teams together and became workout buddies. Bekah coached our women's team several times a week in the gym on Concept 2 rowers and also various strength and agility routines. We utilized medicine balls, ab routines, weights, kettle balls and our own body strength to get fit and stay that way. She spent a lot of time keeping our workouts fun, interesting and varied. This was a class of mostly women and a few brave men. We were all different sizes, body types, fitness levels and ages, the youngest in their 20s and the oldest in their 70s. BUT it was one team, no one left behind. No matter if you were the slowest or weakest, the fastest or best; you got a great workout with Bekah. Sh always spent time making sure there was rocking music to help us stay motivated. She kept me wanting to come back week after week, my strength and stamina increased dramatically. I was better at dragon boating, running and in my own workouts. I have some arthritis in my back, knees and hips, Bekah always made sure that I was comfortable, but pushed me to improve. I always felt comfortable in my workouts. Bekah is absolutely a GREAT coach and you will not find a better trainer.
I have been trained by Bekah since October 2017 and it has been the best experience. Her ability to periodize workouts helped me train for the event I was working towards, and peak at the right time. I haven’t been in this good place f shape since he’s GM school football. I highly recommend. She has a great ability to listen and develop a custom program (I’m sure because she’s ACE Certified).
Rebekah has been awesome on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). My fitness has increased noticeably and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more sit ups / core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session. I find I actually look forward to my workouts. Importantly: – She ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. – She is extremely reliable & punctual – always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned. I thoroughly enjoy working out now and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their fitness and overall self image.
