About Kayanna

Born in Jamaica & having lived in Detroit, Michigan from the age of 5, I have always had a love for fitness and movement. Growing up, I participated in various sports from professional dance, cheerleading (both leisure & competitive) & track & field. I am new to the LA area (migrated here in December 2022), I’m looking to continue my love of fitness by helping other change their bodies, habits & mindsets. Mind over MATTER. I love helping boost clients’ confidence by putting their body through hell in the most effective and enjoyable way. Outside of training for aesthetic or performance reasons, exercising should be centered around creating longevity. Fitness goals shouldn’t be restricted to your own personal feelings, but the feelings of loved ones as well. A client should be excited to share results & new knowledge with those around them and encourage them to join in on the process. My goal for my clients is to show them how quickly a 1-4 hour workout can fly by. The time spent in or outside in the gym should not only yield satisfying results, but bring unlimited pleasure & enjoyment. As your trainer, I pride myself on bringing the pizazz and uniqueness to every session, the undeniable results are a bonus.

Preparing my client to look her absolute best in a bikini for Coachella and having lost a total of 24 pounds in the three months of our training schedule.

Anything having to do with abs. A strong core is the foundation of all exercises. And legs, of course. ????

My training philosophy

Mastering your form during an exercise should be top priority versus how much weight you can pick up and show off lifting. Training is not just about “looking good”, it’s about preventing injuries and creating longevity.

My training experience

I have been an active person since the age of five having started as a track and field runner and a cheerleader. Throughout my life, I continued on the same path participating in competitive cheerleading, professional dance, track and field, swimming, and weight training.

The best thing about having a trainer is having someone to motivate you especially when it gets hard and you want to quit. That's the best part about Kay she always cheering you on with her huge smile. She also challenging you to do things you never thought you could do. Also we get dances break in between sets. She amazing and great at her job or should I say her passion.

I’ve always struggled with losing weight and pushing myself to work harder and stay on track. I finally got fed up and had the wonderful opportunity to meet Coach K! With her expertise I got so much stronger, improved my stamina, and lost a whole 20 pounds! I noticed my clothes started fitting better, and exercises that were really difficult for me suddenly became easier and easier! Which of course meant it was time to push my limits on new exercises! Sometimes it was really hard and I didn’t think I was going to make it through certain exercises, but I did! Coach always encouraged me and she didn’t let me slack off in the gym. She pushed me to do my hardest and best and without her knowledge, I don’t know if I could’ve done it! Coach is very beginner friendly and that’s important for someone like me who is apprehensive to try new machines. I am so grateful for her and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to lose weight and is really to push themselves!
