My motivation to overcome my own personal health difficulties has led me to spend years researching and experimenting with nutrition, fitness and lifestyle design. I put my knowledge and expertise at the service of my clients, including those recovering from injury and serious illness.
I believe in the healing power of exercise and healthy living. My mission is to help my clients transform their lives through fitness, wellness and nutrition. Every client I train is unique, with his or her own needs, strengths and weaknesses. I carefully tailor each workout plan to guide my client to optimal health.
The primary goal of exercise is to improve the quality of your health and life. I teach people to approach exercise with realistic expectations, to celebrate their achievements and having fun, while making strides towards a healthier life. It’s about progress, not perfection: training smarter, not harder.
I enjoy training people of all ages and levels of fitness. For me, training is about building a relationship of trust and support, listening to and observing the client’s needs so that I can do my best to meet them. It gives me great satisfaction to work with clients in achieving their goals.
I offer a body positive, functional approach to exercise, focusing on strength training, mobility and injury prevention. Before I begin to work with a new client, I assess any problems, whether their issues be congenital or those that are a result of lifestyle and overuse or injury. My understanding of the musculoskeletal and fascial systems enable me to correct movement patterns and strengthen weaknesses, fixing chronic problems and imbalances over time as well as improving posture and alignment.
I teach my clients to understand the significance of movement and how it affects the body, to achieve a kinesthetic awareness that they can apply in their lives. With mindful movement, the body functions efficiently and is less likely to become injured.
For me, working toward a healthier self goes beyond the workout. I believe in the power of food and vitamin supplementation. I have many years of experience using diet to solve a variety of health problems and am happy to share what I have learned.
