Being overweight and picked on as an adolescent boy taught me the value of being physically active and inspired me to become a multi-sport athlete. Then, a devastating knee injury put an abrupt end to my sports career and led me to 'find fitness'

 

In 2000, I traded in my business suit for a sweat suit and said farewell to a dreadful 12 year legal practice and launched a 25+ year success story as a health and fitness professional, business owner and entrepreneur.

I've contributed to several prominent nationally syndicated publications including 'AARP', 'Vitamin Shoppe', 'Eat This Not That', 'Men’s Journal' and 'Consumer Health Digest'.

My specialty is helping people move better, look better and become physically and mentally resilient and resistant to injury, so you can age better and enjoy an active and abundant lifestyle at any stage of your life.

Who I Help & Why I'm Unique: I work extensively with health and wellness professionals, including cardiac and internal medicine physicians, gynecologists, physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists and other health care professionals to develop a coordinated and comprehensive approach to working with clients.

I'm also privileged to work with ‘special people with special needs', some of whom have Down Syndrome and Autism.

I believes that in order to get people to move, you must create a movement, something bigger than yourself that people from all walks of life can relate to.

I've trained elite athletes to children with Down Syndrome. I always try to think out of the box and combine ingenuity, compassion, common sense and meaning to body movement, body awareness and mindfulness.

Personal Best is the only place I will go for training! Len the owner is absolutely awesome! People might say it is a bit expensive but they don’t realize it is more than just a guy yelling at you to sweat more. Len does way more than that. We talk about what food to eat and when. Go over different exercises. How to exercise at home. Generally, life coaching. How to change your life to involve fitness. I went to Personal Best 8yrs ago but lost everything I gained from them. I decided it was time to return and they were the first and only company I called!

I became acquainted with Len Glassman by watching a webinar. I liked his style and his approach but working with him seemed impractical - we are hundreds of miles apart. When the pandemic hit we began to work together virtually - using Zoom. As an out of shape 64 year old, I needed a trainer who would plan my workout routine with care. Over the months, Len taught me a lot and guided the progression of workouts carefully, without pushing too hard. Len designed a program that I do at home using simple equipment that has been engaging, interesting and motivating. Over several months my flexibility, strength and balance have improved. It's been a great experience and I recommend Len without reservation.

Len Glassman absolutely changed my life. I had the pleasure of training with Len for about a year. Unfortunately, I had to drop our weekly sessions since starting my own business. Len helped me tremendously in so many ways - aligning my posture, improving my flexibility, strengthened my core, addressed nagging soft tissue issues (neck/back/shoulder) and helped increase my range of motion. We always started the session by warming up and we ended the session with stretches. In between Len customized exercises to my body's ability, with increasing difficulty over time. He taught me how to do exercises at home so I could further my progress on my own. While exercising he was always talking to me about how I felt, ("do you feel that?") to be sure I was getting the desired result. Len also provided useful tips on eating habits and other ways to stay healthy in between our sessions. I can't wait until I am up and running with my business so I can return to our weekly schedule.
