About Tara

I decided after several years of working in public education that my true passion is helping people get healthy. I was dedicated to group fitness classes for more than a decade but never saw the results I hoped for. I discovered personal training later in life and enjoyed tremendous results. It inspired me to become a NASM-certified trainer. I work with several fit clients, males and females of all ages, who are looking to get stronger or simply change their routine.  My specialties include classical Pilates (I have 600+ hours of training using all apparatus) and TRX (I have 40+ hours of TRX training), so I create programs for my clients that combine weight bearing exercises with strength and resistance.  I am dedicated to continuous education in my field and I workout weekly with another personal trainer.

My training philosophy

Precision is everything. If you’re moving your body incorrectly and not recruiting the right muscles, you’re missing the point. A qualified and educated personal trainer will make your movement efficient and effective.

My training experience

I have over a decade of experience in the fitness industry but I’ve devoted the past year to expanding my personal training business. I recently completed a 600 hour classical Pilates apparatus program. I have more than 30 hours of TRX training and I am experienced training couples and small groups.

Great start! I haven’t worked out in so long I’m embarrassed to say. I actually probably don’t even remember if we’re being honest.
