The first time I stepped into a gym, I had very little motivation to do much but lose weight. As an out of shape 15 year old male, I overindulged in rigorous cardiovascular training to the point where I couldnt stand even making it to the gym and I eventually lost ambition and regained the weight.
2 and a half years ago, I trained with weights for the first time in my life and I had an instant connection. I loved the feeling of stimulation in the muscles along with having something to look forward to on an almost daily basis. The first few months involved little more than lifting aimlessly and eating whatever I pleased, a few months later i then managed to have done enough research to program for myself alongside having dieted and lifting consistently I lost pretty much all of the fat I had wanted to and j now became obsessed with how far I could take my own personal fitness journey.
Here I am today, certified in NASM,-CPT and NASM-FNS as i believe the pursuit of knowledge even for a professional is never complete. This is the mindset I try to push to my clients as well, working out is to be healthy yes but to be as healthy mentally and you may look physically as well. Fitness goals are not easy to achieve and they wont be easy but you'll come to appreciate the process in which you partake to ultimately reach your short term and long term goals. You'll be surprised, by the time you reach what your goals were you'll already have new goals in mind.
