What is my ideal workout? A workout that combines bodyweight training, free-weight training, and a variety of cardiovascular activity, for a high emphasis on developing both aerobic and anaerobic endurance, as well as developing a great deal of functional strength, including but not limited to core strength.
What’s my trick to keeping a healthy lifestyle: At the moment, a primary key in my own life is pushing myself to do what I know I have to do, even if I’m tired and have had such a long day that I can’t begin my own workout until late at night (this challenge is both mental and physical). Along with this, getting enough protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates into my body throughout the day is a critical component to being able to put everything into my workouts when I have “nothing” left at the end of the day. Another key component for me is focusing in on executing exercise form as correctly, safely and intensively as possible. The simplest of exercises can be done with grueling intensity and effectiveness when even subtle adjustments are made to technique and timing. At the same time, the simplest of exercises can be the thing that sends an individual to physical therapy or a chiropractor if done carelessly and with poor form.
