Taking Kung Fu classes with Max is on the list of Best Things I've Done For Myself, along with getting my master's degree in engineering and living for a year in Central America. Through years of travelling, I've been lucky enough to study with many martial arts instructors, but none were quite like Max. His "simple plan, hard work" philosophy applies to anything I do. Patient, inspiring, and genuine, he is the real deal.
I met Max In Washington state and asked for help training for upcoming grappling competitions. Max was so thorough with nutrition, balance, specific technique (in both practical fighting and specialized Kung fu), enduarance and strength training, and mental preparedness that I grew tremendously and started a winning streak that continues today. His knowledge is seemingly limitless, but beyond that, his ability to understand each individual is remarkable. He not only listened to me, but intuitively knew about my needs based on our interactions and training sessions. If you can train with a Max Meyers, you are in for a life-changing shift. My life has been forever altered for the better by training with Max.
Max Myers is a fantastic coach. I started training in kung fu with him in 2013. In the past decade, I have trained with many teachers, and Max is definitely one of the best. He pushed me to my limits and helped me achieve my goals. Even after I moved away, he continued to check on me and encourage me. Just recently, he helped me train for a fight. He gave me great nutrition advice, too. Overall, Max has always been there to help push me to be a better martial artist. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to pursue martial arts or anyone wanting to get in shape and be healthy.
Training under sifu Meyers was a privilege. Every session was entertaining, a great workout, and effective learning experience. He employs a variety of styles and a passion to share his love of martial arts with his students. I highly recommend him as a trainer.
This guy is relentless. He has only become more committed and inspiring. And he knows his stuff! I got nothing but good things to say from my experience training and learning from his philosophy!
