My favorite client story
One of my clients, Lea, had gotten to the point where she felt like she'd tried everything, and was frustrated and about to give up. She wanted to lose weight and add muscle tone, and tried several workout video and cardio routines that failed to produce the results she was looking for. She had even tested out several trainers, but couldn't seem to find one that was a good fit.
Despite being frustrated and uncertain, Lea took action and signed up for a personal training program. She began working out four times a week, doing a combination of strength training for muscle tone, and metabolic resistance training to burn fat. Then we added habits including food journaling, macro-nutrient tracking, progress tracking, and increasing nutrient rich food sources like leafy green veggies and fibrous fruits.
Finally, she begin to see the results she wanted, both physically and mentally. She lost weight, and added a lot of muscle tone at the same time. Her husband, friends, and family all noticed and gave her a lot of positive feedback. Her confidence improved and she told me that she felt stronger and empowered.
She is a fantastic example of how hard work and an effective system can create amazing changes in ones mindset, performance, and physique, and I am really proud of her.

My training philosophy
Personal training should be more than just an hour of working out a couple of times a week, so we put together a full plan that encompasses exercise, nutrition, mindset, and recovery. Everything is customized to the inidividual, so we use a variety of modalities in the gym such as free weights, barbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, and functional equipment to get the best results possible. We also work on habits and techniques that can be used outside of the gym to improve ones nutrition, mindset, health, and performance.
We don't just work on improving a persons physical capabilities and appearance, but also on helping them develop a positive relationship with fitness. We’ll make sure to create a program that is fun, safe, and effective, and that also keeps the person motivated and feeling good about themselves for their entire fitness journey.
