I have 18 years of personal training experience specializing in TRX suspension and Rip Training, VIPR, battling ropes, and a variety of body-weight training. Throughout my tenure as a trainer, I have worked with clients ranging in age from 19-83 years old, some with special needs, and a variety of fitness goals. I have helped people get in shape for weddings, reunions, weight loss, toning, and overall fitness. When I began my own personal fitness journey 19 years ago, I completed a 12-week transformation challenge. I changed my diet, I exercised regularly and intensely, and I savored my cheat days. At the end of 12 weeks, all of that hard work paid off and I was proud of my amazing results. The most harrowing part of my journey was the bittersweet feeling I had when I completed my challenge---now what? Can I really eat this way for the rest of my life? Can I continue to exercise this frequently and this intensely for the rest of my life? I immersed myself in certification courses and health seminars and found new and exciting ways to incorporate my favorite foods into my diet. I learned safe, effective exercises that maximized results and minimized injuries. Ultimately, I found lifestyle changes that I could commit to. It was then I knew that my new found love of fitness went above and beyond just being the best version of myself. I am deeply committed to helping clients achieve success, a happier and healthier life, and the best version of themselves.
Note: I am currently only training at my apartment complex (Hillstone at Wolf Ranch)
My favorite client story
My biggest success story was a client that loss 100lbs in one year. Upon meeting, we discussed her fitness goals and health history. We formulated a plan that implemented simple lifestyle changes, a realistic diet, and purposeful workout regimens. Outside of her training days, she incorporated physical activity into her day-to-day life (i.e. taking the stairs instead of the elevator and parking a little further away). She combined nutrient-rich foods with a healthy balance of fiber and fat to feel satiated throughout her day. Her workout routines were varied, with plenty of cardio to reach her target heart rate and encourage weight-loss. As she shed weight and gained strength, she acquired a new sense of confidence that enabled her to accomplish immeasurably more during her workouts. At year’s end, when her goals were realized, it was truly gratifying knowing that I was able to contribute to her success.
My favorite exercise
Pretty much anything involving the VIPR. I absolutely love loaded movement training.
My training philosophy
Getting to a fitness goal is a marathon, not a sprint. Those who make a lifelong commitment always are more successful than those looking for instant gratification.
