My training programs are individualized and based on your specific needs. Expect to have fun, work hard and see your body change. I have worked in fitness with people of all levels and ages from 7 to 89 years. I don't train with everyone because I love what I do and I want to keep it that way. I interview all of my clients and I am the only trainer in Denver who guarantees results. In addition to my NASM CPT certification, I have a BS in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, a MS in Sport and Exercise Psychology and am currently pursuing my PhD in Sport Psychology. You will be challenged both physically and mentally to beat down barriers to a better you!
I hate diets and fitness fads. I do life change. My passion is to help someone find their own path to success. Yes, you will get leaner in the process but it will come off and stay off. There will be no more yo-yo with the scale. You only live once, and you have only one body to do so in. I believe and teach about good choices. If you spend *most* of the time making the right choices you should be able to live a little and allow yourself life's little pleasures (for me it's cheese) once in a while. SUSTAINABLE LIFE CHANGE! My favorite client story
I'll let her explain in her own words- this is a women who felt nothing had worked for her before. She is short and stout, and has always been told to cut calories. We discovered, after many conversations into her history that she wasn't eating enough food to drop any weight as the low calorie diets often prescribe (arg!). She needed someone to be accountable for and she needed a plan. After we put a plan in place, and she received 2 workouts with me a week and multiple texts a week after 3 weeks of working together I received the following email, it has been nearly 6 months and without dieting my client is down 25+ pounds and is a happy lady. This is the email she sent me 3 weeks into her first session of boot camp. "First of all Saara, you are an amazing, inspiring trainer. I have never worked with someone with such enthusiasm. I feel so lucky to have met you. I have worked with personal trainers, done classes, etc. and NONE of them do what you do for me. Thank you for what you do for me and the team. I apologize for this evening. If you didn't notice I coughed and "threw up a little in my mouth" (GROSS right?) I had a bad eating day, meaning I didn't consume enough calories. Ate a banana at 4, realizing I hadn't eaten since 11 and the entire workout, I felt nauseous. I think only a few peeps notices, maybe everyone, but I am embarrassed. Sorry! Yours with sore muscles. L" . Normally I would not share a storing about throwing up, but this shows progress. This women is a stronger, more confident, healthier person now. This email is a reflection of when it all started to click for her. I am so proud of her and her journey. "L" kicked some serious ass and is well on her way to an amazing future.
My favorite exercise
This changes for me daily. I do love an "active plank" because if done properly can engage almost every muscle (at least the important ones) in the body.
