I would like to start by telling you who I am and once you can understand where I came from you will understand why we train the way we do.
I've been in the world of sport and athletics since I can remember, my mom and step-dad were in and out of fitness programs and my brothers and I always were in some school sport. My main sport was wrestling, and I was good at it. When I was a senior I had offers flooding in to wrestle at the collegiate level but this is not the path that I wanted so I made the choice not to take them. As I got older I kept with the "normal" fitness routine as I worked in and out of physical labor jobs.
Then, when I was about 25 years old I threw my back out. I wish I could tell you I was doing something cool but the truth is, I threw it out flushing my toilet. I worked with a PT and on rehab for about 6 months and got minimal results and learned absolutely nothing. I knew it was only a matter of time until this problem would show its ugly face again. I dove into the world of fitness, learning what I could when I could and using my best friend as my "test subject". He is a pro motocross competitor and what I was able to do for him, with what little knowledge I had, was life changing. I was still uncertified but he was moving better, he was much stronger, he was losing weight, and his mood swayed to happy and confident. I decided it was time to take this career seriously and I became a certified personal trainer under ACE.
This was 2 years ago (2015) and since then I have been on the hunt to train as many people as I possibly could. I have trained over 5,000 hours and my clients have gotten results they never thought possible. I have helped people lose over 50lbs, I have helped people live without pain they have lived with for years and years, I have helped athletes gain the edge over their opposition and become the highest performers at their school/community.
My passion is to help the everyday athlete (if you move, you are an athlete) overcome any perceived physical limitation and leave them asking one question, "what else can I do?" FREE THE BODY, FREE THE MIND- TORQUE TRIBE
