If you have ever had any part of your body not perform optimally, then we already have something in common.
I first began educating myself on how to train correctly because I was not the best athlete and nowhere near the strongest. I had a desire to be better.
Originally I did the traditional barbell movements you see in most gyms such as: Bench Pressing, Squatting, and Deadlifting. I definitely made some progress and managed to add muscle to my frame, but at the same time pain was creeping in to areas I had never had any before.
I took this as an oppourtunity to learn even more about how the body moves most efficiently and which movement patterns actually help you eliminate pain, gain strength, and even flexibility from the workout itself! I have since evolved my practice to include much more working on the body in forms of self massage (MFR/SMR) and dramatically less "traditional" movements.
If you're not using your doing systems when you train or your trainer has no idea what the anterior oblique sling is then there is no way you can be working out correctly!
