About Andrea

My name is Andrea Schwab, and I help people of all ability levels and ages finally reach success in their fitness and nutrition goals. I am a current Graduate student fulfilling my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, with an emphasis in Sports Medicine.


I have a dynamic, evidence based approach that was taught and developed during my time as a Kinesiology student at California State University Northridge. These concepts have served as the baseline to my training methods over the last 10 years.


I also collaborate with Health Care Providers to implement exercise treatment plans for their patients. I’m here to help people of all ages reach their fitness and nutrition goals despite their previous injuries and current ability levels.

Andrea began working with me shortly after I got engaged in 2013. In the months before my wedding, Andrea provided sound diet and exercise advice; through individualized weekly training, and calorie logging on My Fitness Pal, Andrea pushed me to be in the best shape I'd ever been, allowing me to have confidence on my wedding day. Since then, our training has continued, and she has consistently coached me to my fitness goals, whether it be improving my push-up form or running a 10K. Andrea is an upbeat individual who motivates and instructs her client without intimidation. She also has a background in physical therapy/corrective training; since working with her, she has improved my posture and my joint alignment. I am truly grateful that I found someone like her and I look forward to continuing to work with her in the future!

I met Andrea a few years ago at a certification course and frequently kept in touch. Several years later I was in search for a trainer and reached out to Andrea and it was the best decision I ever made for my health and fitness. I am no easy client. I have some very up and down days. She is patient, understanding and has an amazing understanding of the human body. Whenever I am in any kind of muscle pain-I give her my symptoms and even though she is not a doctor she always figures out the issue and provides me with exercises and stretches to help. She has a sweet face and she is very nurturing but don't let it fool you. She will give you a workout. She will absolutely make you sweat and she will push you to do better, always! But she does so in a safe and knowledgeable manner. One of her greatest qualities is that she understands her clients are HUMAN! When I met Andrea, I had just had the worst year of my life. I suffered through eight repeat stress fractures in my foot, a herniated disc in my back that hospitalized me for a week, gained about 40lbs as a result of Insulin Resistance/PCOS, and had abruptly lost a six year relationship. I started working with Andrea after graduating from six months of physical therapy for my foot and back, and had basically lost a year of strength training. Spending eight consecutive months in a walking boot had essentially decimated the muscles in the right side of my body, from my neck to my toes. Andrea started me off slow, helping me to re-balance my body, and eventually increasing the effort impact she asked of me with each session. After so many injuries, I was pretty traumatized and timid. The last thing I wanted was to get hurt again. I trusted Andrea implicitly. Her attention to detail, knowledge of the human body, and care for her clients exceeds that of any personal trainer I have ever met or worked with. Her personality made each session like therapy - something I probably needed after the year I had. Twice a week, I felt my anxiety, stress, and weaknesses melt away, and slowly started to see my body come back to what I knew it once was. I had lost myself through the injuries and weight gain, and at times, I felt like I was hanging on by a thread. Rather than sit in a chair and talk my feelings out to a doctor, I decided to punch them out with Andrea. She helped me find my 'fight,' and was my biggest motivator for almost a year of working together. The results I've had speak for themselves--Andrea not only helped transform me physically, but mentally, as well. She helped bring me back from the broken (physically and mentally) person I had become, to the strong and cheerful person I knew myself to be.
