My name is Andrea Schwab, and I help people of all ability levels and ages finally reach success in their fitness and nutrition goals. I am a current Graduate student fulfilling my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, with an emphasis in Sports Medicine.
I have a dynamic, evidence based approach that was taught and developed during my time as a Kinesiology student at California State University Northridge. These concepts have served as the baseline to my training methods over the last 10 years.
I also collaborate with Health Care Providers to implement exercise treatment plans for their patients. I’m here to help people of all ages reach their fitness and nutrition goals despite their previous injuries and current ability levels.
No body is the same, so let's develop your pathway for success, together.
My training philosophy
I have a multifaceted approach when it comes to addressing fitness and nutrition concerns. Every person is unique therefore every program designed is personalized based on your health history, movement assessment, current fitness level, nutrition knowledge, and objectives.
Every client enrolled in a training program will earn their movement progression. Progressions ensure proper utilization of the kinetic chain during body weight based movements, increased loads and performance.

Andrea began working with me shortly after I got engaged in 2013. In the months before my wedding, Andrea provided sound diet and exercise advice; through individualized weekly training, and calorie logging on My Fitness Pal, Andrea pushed me to be in the best shape I'd ever been, allowing me to have confidence on my wedding day. Since then, our training has continued, and she has consistently coached me to my fitness goals, whether it be improving my push-up form or running a 10K. Andrea is an upbeat individual who motivates and instructs her client without intimidation. She also has a background in physical therapy/corrective training; since working with her, she has improved my posture and my joint alignment. I am truly grateful that I found someone like her and I look forward to continuing to work with her in the future!
I met Andrea a few years ago at a certification course and frequently kept in touch. Several years later I was in search for a trainer and reached out to Andrea and it was the best decision I ever made for my health and fitness. I am no easy client. I have some very up and down days. She is patient, understanding and has an amazing understanding of the human body. Whenever I am in any kind of muscle pain-I give her my symptoms and even though she is not a doctor she always figures out the issue and provides me with exercises and stretches to help. She has a sweet face and she is very nurturing but don't let it fool you. She will give you a workout. She will absolutely make you sweat and she will push you to do better, always! But she does so in a safe and knowledgeable manner. One of her greatest qualities is that she understands her clients are HUMAN! She never made me feel bad/guilty for having ice scream several times over a weekend-she just pushed me to work harder the next day and coach me into making better choices going forward. I am getting married next month (end of September) and thanks to Andrea I am definitely in better shape, leaner and feel confident in my dress. (She even joined me on my dress fitting to make me feel good!) Don't hesitate and #journeystrong!
Andrea is an extremely qualified personal trainer. She is a talented motivator and has a strong fitness knowledge base, including corrective training expertise. With Andrea, you are her first priority. She is happy to give you exercise regimens to do on the side, willing to train with you in a variety of settings, and she's open to answering questions you have when you are not with her. While working with Andrea, I've seen a marked increase in my physical fitness level and have noticed positive changes in my physique. My praise for her could not be any higher and I strongly recommend working with her.
Andrea is extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I've been working with her for over 1 year and she was able to get me back into (triathlon) training after I got injured. She also educated me with new exercises while increasing my strength. Constantly pushing me to a new level, making it fun and different each and every time. I couldn't be happier.
I trained with Andrea for over a year doing both personal training and group training. I could not have asked for a better trainer! She made me feel comfortable right away. Andrea was very motivating, professional, and reliable. I saw great results and felt a confidence and strength that I never had before. She was so helpful and knowledgeable to a past injury that I had. Andrea truly cares about all of her clients! I highly recommend her.
When I met Andrea, I had just had the worst year of my life. I suffered through eight repeat stress fractures in my foot, a herniated disc in my back that hospitalized me for a week, gained about 40lbs as a result of Insulin Resistance/PCOS, and had abruptly lost a six year relationship. I started working with Andrea after graduating from six months of physical therapy for my foot and back, and had basically lost a year of strength training. Spending eight consecutive months in a walking boot had essentially decimated the muscles in the right side of my body, from my neck to my toes. Andrea started me off slow, helping me to re-balance my body, and eventually increasing the effort impact she asked of me with each session. After so many injuries, I was pretty traumatized and timid. The last thing I wanted was to get hurt again. I trusted Andrea implicitly. Her attention to detail, knowledge of the human body, and care for her clients exceeds that of any personal trainer I have ever met or worked with. Her personality made each session like therapy - something I probably needed after the year I had. Twice a week, I felt my anxiety, stress, and weaknesses melt away, and slowly started to see my body come back to what I knew it once was. I had lost myself through the injuries and weight gain, and at times, I felt like I was hanging on by a thread. Rather than sit in a chair and talk my feelings out to a doctor, I decided to punch them out with Andrea. She helped me find my 'fight,' and was my biggest motivator for almost a year of working together. The results I've had speak for themselves--Andrea not only helped transform me physically, but mentally, as well. She helped bring me back from the broken (physically and mentally) person I had become, to the strong and cheerful person I knew myself to be. I am eternally grateful to her, and am positive she will be the best investment you can make in yourself. JOURNEY STRONG, PEOPLE!
