As a prior hospital Certified Nursing Assitant, my approach is definitely more scientific. Fundamental functional application is essential. I'd like to say a lot of people know how to work out, but not that many know how to actually "TRAIN." - There is a big difference, and if you've been around the trainer block before, you know this is sadly true !
Many people never accomplish their goals (fitness or otherwise) because of one simple aspect... they don't know what to do. This same theory is true for those who have had a trainer in the past but when the trainer is booked or out of town, or say even that you are out of town... the momentum stops. The "know how" is gone. This is flawed and that's why my approach is to teach.
I want you to know exactly what you're doing, what muscles you're targetting, and why. I want to eliminate the doubt and bring in the confidence!! I want YOU to walk into the gym knowing that you don't look "silly" because your form will be perfect. I want you to know how truly BADASS you can be.
My favorite client story
Her name was Beatriz, came to me because her son was forcing her to "take her health into her own hands." She was a Type2 Diabetic and was recently diagnosed with HBP. Completely demotivated and not very hopeful for success... Needless to say, after getting to know her and breaking down a few barriers we got her to lose over 80lbs and off of both her Insulin and HBP medication. Happiest day was her running into the gym with her paperwork from the doctor saying she was healthy and off of her medications.

My training philosophy
My training philosophy is quality over quantity. I would much rather spend extra time with any of my clients to make sure they understand exactly what they're doing so that I can ensure that even when I'm not around (because no trainer is ever around 24/7) they are constantly working towards their goals. No realistic goal is ever unattainable.
My training experience
As a former nursing assistant in a geriatrics unit I take a lot of pride in how careful i can be with my clients with minor to major injuries.
