As a human jumping bean, Emily is most in her element whenever she’s in motion. She empathizes with the boundless energy shared by fitness enthusiasts and looks to provide a fun and challenging workout to keep them engaged! Having grown up in a family of athletes and as a lifetime athlete herself, Emily started teaching group fitness in 2015 after getting certified in POUND. Since then, she has gone on to teach HIIT, TRX, kettlebells, Pilates and calisthenics based classes infused with a focus on form, accessibility, functional movement patterns, and fun. Emily is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist. She balances her love for coaching with a healthy dose of sugar, long walks with her pup, Yuma, and photosynthesizing outdoors whenever the sun is out.
My favorite exercise
I love deadlifts. I will do deadlifts with kettlebells, with barbells, with bands, or with dumbbells. I will deadlift in B stance, single leg, narrow stance, sumo, or orthodox. I will take them in any flavor :)
My training philosophy
I want *every * *body* to win in terms of achieving a healthy and holistic balance between training and everyday functionality. I believe that every body has its unique strengths and areas for improvement and make sure to feature movements that compliment and challenge these considerations. I do not believe in one size fits all, especially when it comes to training. Instead, my training focuses on form, accessibility, functional movement patterns, and keeping things fresh and fun!

I have been a group fitness instructor since 2015. Since then I have become a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise specialist. I love geeking out on different training programs and philosophies. I am energized in providing personalized programs that make fitness fun and challenging for my clients.

She runs all her classes with a smile and cheers on all of her attendees. I feel like I have done more in a 1 hour period than most full day hiking excursions!! I’ve been working with Emily since the quarantine began and she has kept me motivated throughout all the craziness in the world. Emily’s style is inspiration and modification. She keeps you inspired by giving you goals to work towards while always providing modifications. Are you just starting out? Emily has got you covered. Already fit and looking to take it to the next level? Emily is the trainer for you. Emily also is also certified in corrective exercise. She helped me work on my ankle sprain from 2013 that still gives me trouble . If you want someone to yell at you and degrade you (no judgements some people are into that) she’s not for you but if you want motivate you to achieve your goals while celebrating your body and uplifting your spirit have I got a trainer for you!
Emily has been my trainer in group settings and I am so very lucky to have participated in her classes. Her training sessions are always fun and I always walk away with more confidence in my form, myself and the amount of knowledge about what I’m actually doing. She always presents multiple variations to accommodate where your at and your own personal physical health needs. I’m very honored to have met such a wonderful person who loves what she does and always brings 100% of fun energy. Most importantly I truly appreciated that she creates a comfortable environment for all her group members to feel comfortable so that we can all learn and grow together. As a dancer for the past 20 years, I know my body well, but Emily helps me take it to the next level. During her fun, upbeat, and challenging workouts, she pays close attention to your alignment and provides suggestions to take your practice to the next level - physically and mentally. I've been training and taking Emily's classes for about 6 months now. She is super knowledgeable, gives proper instruction on form, and always provides modifications. Her classes are challenging-- in a good way! you feel great after each session. She always changes up the sessions in order to make it fun and provide variety with each work out. We started jump-rope training, which has been super challenging and fun. Her classes will whip you into shape. I slimmed down and toned just from taking her classes. I've even recommended Emily to friends and family, and they also have been continuing training with Emily. I definitely will continue training with Emily and highly recommend as a trainer!!
I’ve been attending Emily’s park workouts and Zoom classes for the past couple months. Emily is so knowledgeable. She expertly designs her classes, she is ready to provide a modification or more challenging alternative for every move, and she provides the perfect in-the-moment adjustments and feedback. I push my myself harder than I think I can go in every class. She is so motivating and fun. I’ve had amazing instructors and trainers but no one as attentive, knowledgeable, and fun as Emily.
Emily is so wonderful! Not only is her high energy so contagious, she is also extremely knowledgeable about it proper form and muscle activation!
