Right now there are many things we cannot control, but, thankfully, our desire to stay healthy isn't one of those things! We will keep our distance, but the fresh air and vibe will motivate us! Some of my favorite locations are Chelsea Park (10th avenue), Madison Square Park, Central Park and East 6th Street Riverside Park. I recently completed my Science of Core Training certificate so I'm eager to put into practice what I've learned about functional core strengthening!
After a workout with me, you will feel more confident and stronger than when you started your session. I will use information gathered from our initial phone conversation and postural and other movement assessments to develop a plan tailored just for you. I want to challenge you with a workout that incorporates HIIT (high intensity interval training), core and strength work, and stretching. I create innovative and creative routines that engage your muscles by working with TRX or CoreFirst straps, balls, weights, steps and bands among other equipment. Keeping your workout fresh and interesting will help you develop habits leading to a healthier, fitter you! I enjoy working with women and youth of all ages and fitness levels. If you participate in hobbies or sports, I will include supportive exercises in your plan. I can also encourage and train you for an upcoming 5 or 10K race, even if you have never run before. If you have active vacation plans, I can prepare you for whatever challenges lie ahead. I am here to motivate you to achieve your fitness goals. As a former elementary education teacher, I thrive on variety and creativity. I became a certified Personal Trainer because I realized how much exercise positively effects my life. I enjoy sharing my passion, and continue to learn through classes and workshops so I can better meet your needs . My goal is to encourage and keep people moving throughout their lives. I know how quickly a day can go by; somedays you just need a quick workout, and I’ve got that for you. I’m here to help you build confidence, strength and improve your attitude through movement. My favorite exercise
Asking me for my favorite exercise is like asking me who is my favorite child! However, if I have to name one, it's the plank. There are so many variations, including using CoreFirst straps, TRX, a stability ball, and step, working multiple muscles in multiple planes, that I include some form of them in every workout!

My training experience
I have been working with clients professionally for five years. Over that time, I have trained brides-to-be, new mothers, student athletes, men and women. I am happy to work with everyone, focusing on women and youth!

Jennifer Hale is a terrific trainer and stellar woman. She is about the most positive person I've ever met, so she just makes you feel good about everything you are doing while she is working with you. I do a group class with her once a week and a semi-private class with one friend once a week. Both are challenging but don't make it so you don't want to come!! With a group, she is wonderful about offering options to fit your capabilities. I happen to be over ten years older than everyone in the group but I just do it and follow her instructions for what works for me, in the group class. I have bone density issues and have been doing yoga and walking forever, but really needed more work with weights. I'm so glad to be doing that work with Jennifer and highly recommend her as a trainer!!
Jennifer really cares about making her classes fun and accessible no matter what your fitness level. She makes each class different and I actually look forward to working out! I’ve gotten so much stronger, more flexible and I can keep up with my kids. I love Jennifer and her fitness classes!
You simply cannot find a better, more thoughtful trainer than Jennifer Hale. In addition to making sure you get a comprehensive strength and flexibility building workout, she keeps extensive notes to ensure the program she designs protects you from injury (old and new), addresses any imbalances, and keeps you progressing towards your goal. She is upbeat, supportive and very effective, and she makes getting in shape more pleasure than pain. I can think of no higher praise!
Jennifer Hale is an awesome trainer! Her sessions combine toning, cardio and stretching for a complete body workout. The exercises she chooses are always fun and her music is great. It’s always fun, never boring and I feel great after my workout. I highly recommend her class
I hate going to the gym, but Jennifer’s class is a fun workout filled with nice people. Each week, the exercises are a little different and I am definitely working out different muscles than I would on my own. Good combination of high energy and strength training. Xoxo
Jennifer was great! It was my first time with a trainer and she put me at ease. Super energetic and friendly, and gave a challenging but not intimidating workout.
I started training with Jennifer since three months ago, she is a great personal trainer! Before seeing her, I barely had any workout experience. She learned about my goal and gave me a combination of exercises for strength and cardio training. She is always very motivating, energetic and supportive. The change to my body is visible and I've brought my husband to start taking classes with her!
Jennifer is my perfect match,,, extremely knowledgeable and engaging. She constantly evaluates your progress and challenges you but she's not intimidating. And,, dare i say she knows how to make a 6:30am work out fun! I've never worked out in the morning before but I always feel great when we are done and motivated to keep up with the routines prior to our next session. She explains each move thoroughly and focuses on proper alignment. My stability and strength have already improved significantly (2months 1x a week) and I've learned some great moves I can accomplish on my own. Best investment I've made in my health.
Jennifer is the first time I've ever worked out with a trainer and she is AMAZING! She met me where I was; she's encouraging and positive and challenging but so much fun to work out with. I was scared to death about what it would be like to work out with a trainer but she is a lovely, wonderful person who knows everything about how to make the workouts fun but challenging and has a wealth of expertise on anatomy, exercise, nutrition and the emotions that go along with making your goals happen. The time absolutely flies.
Jennifer is a amazing trainer and so much fun to be with. We trained together 1:1 whilst I was in New York for 3 months (on assignment) and it was the highlight of my trip. Jennifer listens to what you want to achieve and what you think you are capable of, and turns it into a really enjoyable but challenging, tailored programme of fitness exercises, and before you know it you are doing so much more! Particularly important to me was Jennifer's knowledge/ability to work around torn cartilage issues and flex routines to accommodate prior injury, and her preparedness to train outdoors in Central Park, which was great fun. Jennifer is always friendly, supportive and encouraging - if you are considering training with her - don't hesitate; I can't recommend her highly enough (and will miss her!).
