About Joe

For more than a decade, Joe Barbagallo has been a leader in the personal training industry. Joe Barbagallo is a man of many trades. A former solider, his career started over 18 years ago training United States Army recruits and veterans to pass the challenging Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT). Joe has trained with elite mixed martial artists , not only as a hobby, but to add to his resume of training systems. Lets just stay he has had his butt kicked a handful of times by these experienced fighters, and has also improved their endurance, agility, strength and fat loss in and out of the ring.

Recognizing a need for a results-driven training program, Joe has expanded his practice to a broader population including professional athletes, actors, personal trainers and everyday individuals.  Whether it’s losing weight, building strength or fixing imbalances, Joe has gained much satisfaction by reaching his clients goals and building long lasting relationships. As fitness and nutrition is ever evolving, Joe is an avid follower and student that applies this new research and methods to his existing clients. He has become one of the top fat loss coaches in New York City.  

Joe was born in New Britain, Connecticut and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University. He holds personal training certifications from both The National Strength and Conditioning Association and The American Council on Exercise. 

My favorite client story

On of my clients broke up with her fiance. In the heat of an argument he said she was fat. She came to me with a purpose and within 6 months (2 12 week training programs). She had lost 26LBS! of fat!!! She went from 30% body fat to 12%. Not only did she change her body, but she started a new successful business and now is marrying the man of her dreams 2 years later!
