My favorite client story

My favorite client stories are always when people first see, and feel the progress that there smart work, and dedication has gotten them. When the persons goal is to gain upper body strength and one day I ask them to perform a pull up, and to there surprise, they give me 3, the look on there faces are why I do this. The realization of how hard work can bring you to your goal, whatever it may be, can be taught at any age, and is transferable today more then one situation then just the gym. I like to think that by stimulating the body, we stimulate the mind and what it thinks it can do.

Instruction might get you through the week but education will help you for life. I believe in teaching my clients why a specific movement is right or wrong so they can make informed decisions that will improve our ability to accomplish success in every way.

Joel is a very compassionate personal trainer with over 10 years of experience. I have trained with him for the past 8 years and he has been very instrumental in dealing with issues related to my double hip replacement. He is in his 3rd year towards getting his Physical Therapy degree and is an "A" student. He is very personable and excellent on probing and addressing any kind of issue you might have. For instance I have had a persistent problem with my left leg after my hip replacement on that side and he has kept me flexible and walking 6-7 miles per week!

Joel is an excellent trainer. I’ve been working with him for a few months now, and I’ve made loads of progress in my muscle mass, flexibility, and overall athleticism. He’s very knowledgeable, so he can plan training sessions around your specific needs. As a basketball player, this is very helpful, because he can plan different dynamic exercises each session, depending on what’s injured and which muscles need to get stronger. Also, he’s a nice, approachable guy, unlike a lot of other trainers, so I never dread his workouts. Overall, I’d give him a 5 star rating and I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer.


Joel is very determined when it comes to creating workouts for all levels of rehabilitation. He has even helped me improve my running and get closer to my goal of a 8 minute mile.
