Julia is a no-nonsense trainer who brings intensity to every session. She believes whole-heartedly that diversity and consistency create an unbeatable recipe for change and achievement; without the two, the fitness effort is lopsided and inefficient. And so, with creative programming and a great emphasis on nutrition, Julia takes her clients to their best selves and beyond. While she recognizes each individual's recipe will be necessarily unique, these two components are what helped her succeed in her own (70lb) weight loss.

My training experience
I got into training while completing my masters of psychology at NYU. Personal training provided the perfect intimate complement to the courses I was taking, as well as some great insight and perspective on the human condition. It's such a thrill to figure out what makes someone tick, and to identify ways we can be successful together.

I've been going to Julia for personal training 2-3 times per week for the past four months. Julia makes every session meaningful and really motivates me to do more than I would do without her. I shared my goals (Spartan, Disney's Dopey Challenge) with her. Julia has had workouts in mind that target the abilities I'll need for each of the events that I want to achieve. Julia is always encouraging, demands my best from me and can alter workouts on short notice (in case of injury). She also keeps things fun - there's no repeat of the same routine session after session. We use a variety of gym tools to keep every workout new and fun.
Julia is such an amazing personal trainer! Her energy and passion for fitness is palpable and she seriously can get anyone motivated and excited about getting fit/leading a healthy lifestyle. She's also so amazing, because she truly listens to what you have to say, what you want to work on, and how you're feeling with different exercises. I cannot recommend her enough! I always felt so comfortable with her, no matter how I was feeling that day. I think it says a lot when you want to go work out after work, and with Julia, I always felt this way!
Julia is not just a great trainer, but an awesome person to have in your corner. I went to Julia after trying out a few other trainers. Although they were all nice enough, I never felt like anything more than just another client. Julia not only understood my goals, she also went above and beyond to help me achieve them. I learned barbell snatching and jerking skills from her that I still use to this day, and on days when I feel like I don't want to go to them, I remember fondly Julia's go get'em attitude and it makes me a better fitness enthusiast. Her passion for fitness and training is contagious, and it's hard not to love a grueling workout with her. You feel like such a bad a$$ when you're done! She even set aside time with me before every workout to discuss skills and strategies for when I wasn't at the gym (for example, asking for dishes not on the menu at restaurants, or helping me with time management so I can squeeze my workouts in as I worked full- time and was taking classes). Julia is honestly a total inspiration and one of the reasons I become so interested in fitness myself. She genuinely, truly cares not only about her clients, but about the process and journey you're on together. She was available for advice and motivation whenever I needed it, and made working out accessible and fun, even while those workouts were totally kicking my butt! Not only is Julia an awesome trainer, she's also an awesome cheerleader who will invest in your success. I can't recommend Julia highly enough.
